Whatâs your gear like, and what situation do you find yourself in? Did you have 1 negative experience and then âThrow your hands upâ or have you run into nothing but bad experiences everywhere you go?
How are you going about finding groups, getting into them or running your own?
yo welcome to the party! first off lemme compliment your hair, vary noice bro.
well today Iâve gotten into three pugs that both invited me then asked me for my gs to which I said I donât know then they wanted me to download the addon that tells me and I said Iâm not gonna do that then I show them my H++ gear and I get kicked. even linking an achievement isnât enough.
the last group I got into was for H++ CoS and I linked the dude the shield that drops from there and told them Iâve timed it many times before only to be kicked. my knowledge of this 15 year old expansion should outweigh whatever my gs is.
Yeah, people requiring others to know their GS is kind of a thing. Whenever I list myself in LFG, I always put â[gearscore number]gs [spec]â. I usually put a little more information as well, for example:
But usually, Iâll just make my own groups. I have once (yes, only ever once) been replied to by a 4.x gs rogue with â[whatever my gs was at the time]gs? Lol no thanks!â
Anyway, idk what your gs or gear is like, but if you have knowledge of the instances youâre trying to do, why not create your own groups with people around your same ilvl?
tbf he had that in his first post lol. but no to answer Snipy - I do make groups with anyone and everyone and it goes smoother than anyone boasting they have â5.5 gsâ today I just wanted to chill and help other people looking for a healer
Yeah, you can say that, but it seems as though youâre missing the point being made: Itâs really not difficult to gear up right now. If youâre on the forums complaining about people not carrying you because of your low gear, then youâre not trying very hard.
Literally just make your own group, and get carried. Itâs very easy (if thatâs what you want to do). Of course, you could also just get people who are at your gear level and enjoy a bit of a challenge in the H++ instances that arenât HoS/HoL (because they are completely faceroll).
And in case you donât get it, Iâve been running MS>OS PuG raids, and even as a 5.4K Feral tank, tanking H++ with 3.x players in my groups, very happily.
This couldnât be further from the truth! But youâre entitled to your own opinion, and thatâs fine, even if it is calling other people names or attempts at ad hominem.
oh there it is! he even said âgetting carriedâ, so brave gurl. you and I both got different definitions of âcarriedâ. when I think of that word I think the people getting carried are standing in bad stuff and getting hit by things that can be avoided constantly. gear really shouldnât matter in this 15 year old expansion when things go quick and smooth when you know how to hit your buttons which hey guess what, I do. shocker I know.
Yes, too bad! Itâs OK for people to not get everything handed to them for free from time to time (at least, in my personal opinion); heck, thatâs even a good thing that makes the game better!
I mean, it really depends on the level of gear and the content you are doing. You donât know your gearscore, so you didnât put it out there for us to have a rough idea (of course, just having a gearscore doesnât tell us whether itâs well or poorly itemized, but itâs a rough idea).
Doing an H++ UP/UK with everyone in say a 4.2K gearscore who are following the H++ mechanics properly versus everyone in a 5.5K gearscore who are ignoring mechanics would be an interesting experiment!
Of course, itâs pretty rare to have everyone following mechanics perfectly in a pug, so being able to brute force stuff without perfectly following mechanics tends to be the bar that people set.
When you make your own groups, you are also able to set your own bar! Which can be getting carried by people in significantly better gear, or inviting others of similar gear level, or even carrying others who are in significantly worse gear.
And sure, you could be surprised that some people in worse gear are significantly better players or perform exceptionally well compared to others who are better geared. People tend to look at logs to determine this.
Today we learn that each group is different, If Iâm 5.7k gs and I want my daily heroic done asap, and you are 2.5k and i decline you, its not necessarily because I think you canât do the content, or because i think you havenât done it (aka u have some 225 and u linked achieve) Its because youâll make the run slower and possibly kill us. Just because another group invited you doesnât mean that I need to aswell
and who says Iâm getting anything handed to me for free? Iâve done heroics, raids, heroic+ (when it was current) heroic++ Iâve done it all to get gear to then only be turned down because I donât have the ârequiredâ gs for something anyone can do in their sleep.
but apparently you have trouble with that and thatâs ok. keep it at kiddo.
This thread is just a different version of my dungeon rants that got reported a few weeks ago.
This is all a highlight of the + systems, coupled with third party software, that have created a toxic environment in Wrathâs dungeon running culture.
What could i add more than tell you why theyâd decline you? some adult (using the word loosely) didnât get invited to a group now he has to make a diary entry crying about it
