Throw your hands up!

Throw your hands up if you got heroic++ gear and your GS is still too low to get invited to heroic++ runs! :open_hands: :open_hands: :raised_hands: :raised_hands:woot woot!

Tell us a little more about this.

What’s your gear like, and what situation do you find yourself in? Did you have 1 negative experience and then “Throw your hands up” or have you run into nothing but bad experiences everywhere you go?

How are you going about finding groups, getting into them or running your own?

More details here please.

yo welcome to the party! first off lemme compliment your hair, vary noice bro.

well today I’ve gotten into three pugs that both invited me then asked me for my gs to which I said I don’t know then they wanted me to download the addon that tells me and I said I’m not gonna do that then I show them my H++ gear and I get kicked. even linking an achievement isn’t enough.

the last group I got into was for H++ CoS and I linked the dude the shield that drops from there and told them I’ve timed it many times before only to be kicked. my knowledge of this 15 year old expansion should outweigh whatever my gs is.

drinks are in the next room bruv

No1 has been asking me for my GS lately.

That’s because I’ve told so many people where they can put their GS if they don’t like it.

It only takes one.

Got’cha.

Yeah, people requiring others to know their GS is kind of a thing. Whenever I list myself in LFG, I always put “[gearscore number]gs [spec]”. I usually put a little more information as well, for example:

“5.4K feral tank/dps LF HoL/HoS - prefer both”

But usually, I’ll just make my own groups. I have once (yes, only ever once) been replied to by a 4.x gs rogue with “[whatever my gs was at the time]gs? Lol no thanks!”

Anyway, idk what your gs or gear is like, but if you have knowledge of the instances you’re trying to do, why not create your own groups with people around your same ilvl?

There it is… that little subtle, condescending attitude of yours. Never fails.

tbf he had that in his first post lol. but no to answer Snipy - I do make groups with anyone and everyone and it goes smoother than anyone boasting they have “5.5 gs” today I just wanted to chill and help other people looking for a healer

There is absolutely nothing condescending in what he asked.

Anytime the advice tidbit “form your own groups” is thrown out, it’s trolling.

Yeah, you can say that, but it seems as though you’re missing the point being made: It’s really not difficult to gear up right now. If you’re on the forums complaining about people not carrying you because of your low gear, then you’re not trying very hard.

Literally just make your own group, and get carried. It’s very easy (if that’s what you want to do). Of course, you could also just get people who are at your gear level and enjoy a bit of a challenge in the H++ instances that aren’t HoS/HoL (because they are completely faceroll).

And in case you don’t get it, I’ve been running MS>OS PuG raids, and even as a 5.4K Feral tank, tanking H++ with 3.x players in my groups, very happily.

This couldn’t be further from the truth! But you’re entitled to your own opinion, and that’s fine, even if it is calling other people names or attempts at ad hominem.

Throw your hands up if you use your first post to make a troll thread.

And if we simply don’t feel like “forming our groups”, and don’t get to do dungeons as a result of that?

Too bad right?

oh there it is! he even said “getting carried”, so brave gurl. you and I both got different definitions of “carried”. when I think of that word I think the people getting carried are standing in bad stuff and getting hit by things that can be avoided constantly. gear really shouldn’t matter in this 15 year old expansion when things go quick and smooth when you know how to hit your buttons which hey guess what, I do. shocker I know.

Yes, too bad! It’s OK for people to not get everything handed to them for free from time to time (at least, in my personal opinion); heck, that’s even a good thing that makes the game better!

I mean, it really depends on the level of gear and the content you are doing. You don’t know your gearscore, so you didn’t put it out there for us to have a rough idea (of course, just having a gearscore doesn’t tell us whether it’s well or poorly itemized, but it’s a rough idea).

Doing an H++ UP/UK with everyone in say a 4.2K gearscore who are following the H++ mechanics properly versus everyone in a 5.5K gearscore who are ignoring mechanics would be an interesting experiment!

Of course, it’s pretty rare to have everyone following mechanics perfectly in a pug, so being able to brute force stuff without perfectly following mechanics tends to be the bar that people set.

When you make your own groups, you are also able to set your own bar! Which can be getting carried by people in significantly better gear, or inviting others of similar gear level, or even carrying others who are in significantly worse gear.

And sure, you could be surprised that some people in worse gear are significantly better players or perform exceptionally well compared to others who are better geared. People tend to look at logs to determine this.

what’s your definition of a troll thread?

Today we learn that each group is different, If I’m 5.7k gs and I want my daily heroic done asap, and you are 2.5k and i decline you, its not necessarily because I think you can’t do the content, or because i think you haven’t done it (aka u have some 225 and u linked achieve) Its because you’ll make the run slower and possibly kill us. Just because another group invited you doesn’t mean that I need to aswell

and who says I’m getting anything handed to me for free? I’ve done heroics, raids, heroic+ (when it was current) heroic++ I’ve done it all to get gear to then only be turned down because I don’t have the “required” gs for something anyone can do in their sleep.

but apparently you have trouble with that and that’s ok. keep it at kiddo.

thank you for being pretentious and not adding to anything this thread at all

This thread is just a different version of my dungeon rants that got reported a few weeks ago.

This is all a highlight of the + systems, coupled with third party software, that have created a toxic environment in Wrath’s dungeon running culture.

What could i add more than tell you why they’d decline you? some adult (using the word loosely) didn’t get invited to a group now he has to make a diary entry crying about it
