Threads of Fate is missing

It actually bugs out on some characters but it’s still there. I have done all of Shadowlands several times over on multiple classes. I was never given any of the intro quests nor was I able to find them on my 3rd paladin. So when I went to Oribos, I was never able to skip anything and have to go through the whole campaign at max level. However, I just popped on my max level warrior who has never done it either and was able to do all the intro quests starting in Stormwind, skip the maw, and choose threads of fate. So annoying!

So if it bugs out, is there anything you can do to get unstuck?

In my scenario, just leveled a hunter to 60 through Shadowlands to the point where she chose her covenant. Swapped over to my rogue main who I never touched Shadowlands with, skipped the maw intro no problem, but was not given the threads of fate option. Found the fatescribe, no dice…no option for ToF, only dialogue. I thought maybe if I moved the questline forward it might give the option, but still nothing even after doing the city tour and opening the first portal. I can’t jump in the maw, I’ve tried reloading…anything else I can try to skip that ridiculously long campaign?

Unfortunately, no. Not that we’ve found. :frowning:

Well that’s frustrating :frowning:

Thanks for the quick response though

Yeah, it does suck. I wish they’d just fix it for 60+. :frowning:

I’m in the same boat. From what I’ve read, if you do a single quest in shadowlands with said alt, you’re screwed. I just leveled a character through up until I chose my covenant, thinking I could bring my other characters there and start with choosing covenant, as I’ve read in multiple places. But since I did the intro quests with those characters, I now have to do the entire campaign on each character. I wouldn’t have bothered at all. This is infuriating. I leveled through the most annoying campaign in the game for no reason. And walked everywhere. Please fix this.

Threads of Fate was removed with Dragonflight’s launch.

What was their reasoning for removing it? And if this has been broken like this since the release of dragonflight, it’s unlikely to ever to be fixed, I’m guessing. Been like 2 years right? So…I guess I’m not going to bother with shadowlands at all. I’m also guessing it would take several months to even unlock flying for my account, and then have to run each character through the campaign just to start grinding rep on each character…FFS! Fix this!

Edit: From what I read, you SHOULD only have to complete up to where you pick a covenant on your first character through the campaign, correct? Then other characters should be able to start there as well. Or, do you have to complete the covenant story line as well for it to unlock for other characters? I had a fresh 70 that never did anything shadowlands whatsoever, went to Org, grabbed the A Chilling Summons, skipped the maw, ported to Oribos, and the the fatescribes only dialogue option is “what is the purpose?”

So something interesting happened to me. I did a couple of the quests in Ardenweald for the night fae covenant. Decided that was enough and logged into one of my other characters that I had already done a few of the intro shadowlands quests on. When I logged in, I got a quest automatically called The Call of Fate, directing me to Fatescribe RohTahl. I got excited. But I went to him, turned in the quest, and that was it. No other dialogue or options. I then logged in to my other fresh 70 that I had tried the same thing with, and had no options to skip anything in shadowlands. He got the same quest pop up for The Call of Fate. Went to the fatescribe, same thing, I could turn the quest in, but nothing else. However, this character hadn’t done anything in shadowlands yet, other than skip the maw and head to oribos. I had the quest it forces you to take upon entering Oribos after skipping the maw, and I clicked abandon. It teleported me back to the entrance, the graphics went all tinted grayish, and NOW I HAVE THE OPTION TO TAKE THE THREADS OF FATE QUEST! So I hope this helps someone. It doesn’t appear to help my other characters, but at least one of them gets to skip.

Edit: I should add, DO NOT turn in the “Call of Fate” quest. Or at least, I didn’t. Didn’t want to risk anything. But once I hit abandon on the other quest, that’s when it ported me back to entrance of oribos, and finally got the threads of fate option, then I turned it in.

By chance, do you remember how far you got into the Ardenweald campaign?

Recently I leveled a character through shadowlands and when i hit 60 Roh’tal would not talk to me , but I belive I had to be intitated to a covenant ( go through the ritual) and get sent back to Oribos to talk to Morgaine and then i skipped Torghast and THEN i was able to skip to Korthia and ZM and talk to Roh’tal

I think thats how i remember it , The Loradon scenario is optional , you can walk past her.
