Thread Trolling

I am attempting to create topics in the forums to have genuine discussions, but a small group of trolls keeps flooding my threads and reporting them. People harassing me in the threads I create continue to do so. I am not trolling and genuinely would like the harassment to stop. I would like this resolved. Please do something about this.

Your post history says otherwise. Nothing can be done about it here, in the future, perhaps keep the divisive threads off the forums.

a few things:

1. to post a thread in a public forum is to invite the public to comment on the ideas you are posting.
2. users are allowed (and encouraged) to report any thread/comment that they feel violates the code of conduct. If a moderator disagrees with the users assessment, the post will be restored and nothing more will come of it.
3. If you do not wish to see someone’s posts, you may place them on your ignore.

As for the rest, your thread was closed because the way it was framed invited divisive discussion rather than constructive feedback about the game. Topics such as representation and character development are valid to bring up, but when presented in a manner that you did, generalizing or placing value on one group’s identity over another, it tends to escalate into arguments. That is why moderation stepped in.

The issue is that the same handful of people are spamming my threads with negativity and mass reporting them. I continue to try to stay positive through this, but it is reaching the point of harassment and bullying.

If your threads are getting deleted, it means a moderator is agreeing with the reports that you’re breaking the rules.

there isn’t “mass reporting” like you think. It takes about 3-5 reports to hide a post, and a GM will take a look at it, moderate it as needed.

While I can appreciate that, Zee, much of what you are creating topics on are not really appropriate for our forums. It has nothing to do with “mass reporting”, which has zero impact other than to temporarily hide a post until it can be reviewed by a Moderator. The final call is always a moderator.

The threads themselves don’t technically violate policy, because they mostly just don’t belong or can be problematic, they have been deleted. If you continue to create those threads though, we will have to consider it spamming and/or trolling.

I am sorry if our removal of those threads wasn’t a more clear indication on how to proceed.
