She had a god-like power upgrade. In this era no one could defeat her.
We did know something was up. We just didn’t know that thing was breaking the soul engine. Do you not understand? We did not have any clues given to us about SL. Hell we didn’t even see Zovaal until much into SL.
No and none of it was forgotten. But I don’t think you understand no one had the power to stand up to Sylvanas except Zovaal himself.
And before no one could stand up against her. Which is why they chose to do so behind her back. They could not defeat her. Did you pay attention to the story on our side or are you just guessing?
He’d have just died sooner.
That’s the discussion.
Now you want to move it to the earth bleeding out. Yes everyone knew that. It was because of the big sword.
Horde and Alliance waging war does not raise any signs other than what’s been going on and off for decades at this point.
Right he should learn that leaving was the wrong decision.
So you did know something was up, but still did nothing. Horde army marching into Ashenvale uninvited and no Horde Leader thought that was a bad idea?
If we champs and adventures could take on beings like Arthas, Kil’Jaeden, Argus, and even Zovaal himself, and WIN, then we along with the Horde leaders could defy Sylvanas.
Because again, she was playing the long game. She was trying to fool everyone so she could do her little secret bidding of Zovaal.
We couldn’t do anything but do the unloyal quest. It’s story. We aren’t really given a choice.
Again, that’s not out of sorts for how Warcraft has been.
That’s not how they wrote Sylvanas’ power up though. Yes we could beat N’zoth, but we can’t beat Sylvanas. No it doesn’t make sense. but it also doesn’t make sense that she’d go from being against subjugation to being subjugated and doing things that fall in line with Arthas but still hating Arthas.
The writing wasn’t it’s best. It’s why it needs retconned.
Not the players, the leaders. They should’ve said no. They should’ve stood up to her, refuse to go along with her invasion. Baine, Saurfang, all of them. They all knew the consequenes of a warmonging warchief, but ignored all of it.
No the leaders should not just come out and be against someone that just could kill them all. That’s dumb. They did go against her behind her back to try to defeat her that way. Your way would have had everyone killed.
Dragon Flight’s theme was as subtle as a bag of hammers thrown down the stairs. It was family. Biological family. Found family. Sons and fathers (Wrathion, Neltharion, Abyssion and Sabelion), siblings, the aspects. Everyone is a family unit.
It even comes up twice in Vault of the Incarnates alone. Broodtender wants vengance for her son. Wierd tornado-lady wants to avenge her brother. Ysera and her dopy daughter whose name escapes me. Even the Djaradin and their imprisoned elders if you want a stretch.
I assume whatever unifying theme War Within has will be similarly blunt. Whatever Thrall’s deal is I’m sure itll line up neatly with everyone else’s baggage.
If she did that, the whole Horde would’ve turned on her and her people. She can’t just go around taking out people. If she did, Baine would’ve died right on the spot instead of being arrested. She wouldn’t even have a hard time fighting Malfurion.
I don’t know why you overestimate Sylvanas’ abilities.
The whole Horde would be dead. They did end up turning on her anyway. They just had to do it secretly.
She was pretending at this point. I don’t know how many ways to say it that at this point in the story she was pretending.
It’s not overestimated. It’s matter of fact told in the story if you pay attention. Or were you asleep when she completely rolled over the Lich King? When she took out Saurfang without blinking? When they explain point blank that she got a power upgrade?
No the game gave her the power up. I’m just telling you what happened. I think it’s ridiculous that they gave it to her. But that was what Zovaal gave to her. Go back through the story. The Horde is powered down. Even elven mages that taught the humans magic now can’t beat those humans. Nightborne who studied magic for thousands of years, no match for the Alliance. Trolls take major Ls in every story. Tauren and Pandas are really not give much if any place in the story. The Horde is majorly nerfed. Sylvanas was majorly buffed.
It speaks volumes on how bad the story got.
Zovaal gave Sylvanas the ability to **wield the Domination magic of the Maw** .
I think it should him finally realizing his choice to abdicate as warchief was selfish and irresponsible and dealing with the emotional fallout from that.
What if during Midnight Thrall comes back like super big and stuff. He raises 4 elemental Lords to do his bidding and they in turn raise an army. He then summons a giant tidal wave surfboard and says “FOR AZEROTH” and then surfs into an army of void god minions.
