Man, I can’t calculate timezones when I am sober. Don’t ask me to calculate some crazy alien timezone.
I am curious to see how it will be. LoL obviously has a huge follower/player base so making an MMO using that name will be huge. I definitely will check it out unless it ends up being like an mmo similar to Lost Ark which imo I don’t consider a true mmo like WoW, SWTOR, FFXIV, New World, etc. Lost Ark to me is a PoE/D3 game but with mmo aspects. Heck, you can only have a few amount of people in 1 area unlike true mmos. So if it ends up like that then I will pass.
We probably won’t hear/see anything for likely 2 more years though since I don’t even know if they have started to develop yet. All I know is they announced they were making an LoL mmo but haven’t started it when the announcement was made. That is if they don’t scrap it first. ie. Everquest Next, Titan, etc.

I believe December of 2020 they announced they’d be making an mmo. At that point to make an announcement they must have been along conceptually at the very least.

Oh wow has it been that long already? I remember when it was first announced. Seemed like it was early this year or late last year heh.
Okay we may hear something next year then. I mean, Gamescon is now and not one word of it during the opening show or anything so I doubt we will hear anything then this year.
If Riot’s new mmo has better solo support, I would prolly jump ship. BUT, considering the people running it (ghostcrawler for one), I really doubt it would have solo support beyond leveling to cap much like WoW. In that case at best i would dabble if it were free to play but not seriously play or sub.
It was start off massive, then fail.
Idk, we know now with Arcane they are willing to invest highly in their Ip’s expansion, so if they do the same with an MMO, pump a lot of money into it, they could get a very large team working on it, and then maybe we get it 2024 earliest Imo, and that’s probably a reach.

Riot’s MMO must be terrible. I know because I did a search and there was Asmongold making a funny face. Now they can forget anyone who is 13 going on 45 playing the game.
Its only bad cuz its pvp, at least thats my view. PVP tends to amplify the extremes of a community, both positive and negative. I hope at worst, they wouldnt be any worse than WoW or EVE.

Yeah looking at it, it says slated for 2024 or later. I am guess way later as mmos take time. But still, nice to see another big name company building out an mmo based on a huge known game.
It will be another contender in the saturated market. Will it be a FF14 or a New World, that’s the question. Personally, I have no interest in another MMO.
I am in the freakin’ twilight zone. I know there was a thread about the riot mmo earlier. Can’t find it.
Oh well.
Anyway.
Could be good. Could be crap. Don’t know till we know. Supposed to have dungeons and raids. Focus on “good” combat… whatever that means. “Wont appeal to everyone”… whatever that means.
Edit: Also hopefully will be 3rd person camera like WoW. Don’t like fixed top-down view.

I don’t know enough about it to have an opinion on it.
It was only soft announced and seems very early on in development. So no idea of what races they’ll include or anything.
