Thoughts on Riots new mmo?

I don’t have any thoughts on it. Okay, maybe I do have one thought on it, so here are my concerns, I don’t really want the game having a diablo/lost ark camera angle, I hate games like those and I find them difficult for me to play and feel emersed into the game. Another concern of mine is the art style of Riot’s new MMO. I hope it doesn’t look like leagues really. But other than that it looks cool.

If it lives up to the television series, it has promise. I will check it out.

I’m def going to check it out. As long as it’s not first person perspective, I can usually handle a non third person view.

I heard our old dev GHostcrawler is on it , so I imagine its most not likely going to be a top down one like Diablo

I’m just hoping it brings something new to the MMO experience. If it’s going to be yet another cookie cutter MMO then I’ll enjoy it for a couple of months and end up putting it aside until new updates come along.

if its like wow, 3d with 1st and 3rd person, then i might try it, but if not, not interested

I have faith in Ghostcrawler, so I’m excited.

I only come back to WoW, because it feels like the only “full package” mmorpg.

Ffxiv has awesome PvE, but awful PvP.
GW2 has awesome PvP, but awful PvE.
BDO is an open world solo-players dream… but no structured dungeons/raids.

WoW does everything.

Yea I definitely plan to get back into GW2! I played a bit in 2015/2016 but then stopped for whatever reason. I’m currently trying out Lost Ark and I’m loving the spells effects for my bard :3

Idk if you had any legendaries, but you can clone them onto all of your alts now.

I think they have ability to make a fantastic MMO. The Lore is great already. It’s the gameplay and gameplay loop that is going to make it or break it. I liked Ghostcrawler when he was here but he did have some really bad ideas and implementations.

I optimistic about the game.

the lore looks amazing, and honestly as much as people dislike riot for whatever reason they know how to make good games. we shall see how the gameplay looks though

What looks cool? Like what is there to see that actually shows what the game may look like.

Genuinely asking because all I’ve seen is a video about the zones and some of the lore. Which is fine but gives no indication of gameplay.

I think it really speaks to the desperation of the MMO community for something, anything, new and decent when they manage to get hyped about a game that might come out in a couple years and know nothing about.
