You’d still have to pay for…it wouldn’t be free. But honestly, depending on the price, I’d rather pay hundreds per season than grind through the drudgery of gearing alts.
The timer is part of what makes M+ great. It gives you a goal to achieve. If you cannot complete it within that timeframe you don’t advance to the next level.
If you want to do content that isn’t timed and you can take your time with, that’s what Delves, raiding or M0 are for.
I just feel like this is a round-about “asking for any change is the equivalent of asking for free gear” thread and seeing that again makes my eyes roll into the back of my head.
Instead of spending three to four months farming gear that never drops (or appears in my vault), I would LOVE to be able to buy full myth track gear on the wowshop and actually ENJOY playing the game.
Wow is now a seasonal game - there is no going back - seasons only last a couple months. Why would anyone want to spend the entire season playing and never get fully geared?
Even a blue post recently acknowledged the fact that getting 639 in every slot before the end of the season is not reasonably feasible - maybe make gear a bit more accessible (instead of just praying to win the lottery in your vault once a week)???
Why does it matter if you get maxed gear when the next season it’s all being replace fairly quickly anyway?
Yes, it’s a goal to strive for, but putting full mythic track gear sets in the shop will just make the game worse. It will allow people who don’t know how to play their class to purchase max level gear, only for them to join keys and raid groups to be dead weight.
lol I am both sides of this one.
I agree we can ask for and receive nuanced changes. I also roll my eyes at what some players ask for. Sometimes it feels like all people want is instant gratification so they can skip to the part where they complain about nothing to do.
I could see something like 2 from delve 9s, 4 from 10s, and 6 from 11s. Delves are very easy at 8 and below, but get more interesting when elites show up.
I agree. They should just put bis gear in the store at this point for everyone to enjoy given the seasonal model.
Mythic raiders may complain about this but I think it’s easily solved if the gear isn’t available until hall of fame is achieved. And then, it literally doesn’t matter anymore.
If others complain, I don’t know what to tell them. First they complain it’s elitist that mythic raiders get the highest ilvl gear. Then, when it’s available to be purchased in a store, they’d complain it’s not fair and it’s pay to win. In both cases, there’s a failure to recognize, absolutely nobody cares what kind of gear you have except for you and your imaginary competition.
“More difficult than intended” is what I’m reading there. Which is why the idea of lowering that requirement by a grand total of 3 ilvls was considered.
Putting max ilvl gear on the cash shop is quite possibly the worst idea I’ve ever heard and is leaps and bounds away from where they sit on how hard it is to max out.
