You’ve opened multiple threads on the same topic in a forum that only has so much room on the front page.
Lore is whatever Blizzard says it is. They are the authors of it. They can take the lore in any direction they want or totally change it by doing _____________(fill with any explanation they want).
These are not historic events they are trying to change. None of this is real. None of it ever happened. So people need to stop acting like it did and Blizzard is trying to cover up historic events. Its a fiction story. The author of a story can take it in a new direction at anytime and just it explain it away by doing _________________ (fill with any explanation they want).
Still in my topic, I see. Still haven’t made one post on topic, nor have you made one post where you haven’t attacked or insulted me.
You do know that telling others that you’re going to abuse the report system and then choosing to stalk them, insult/attack them, and post in their topics afterward is against the rules right? As no one is forcing you to do any of that. You’re choosing to stalk me.
You can’t be serious. When you take Light’s Heart back to the warlock class hall, one of the NPC’s refers to it as the mother of all evil.
The kardashian’s mother?
Lightforged Demons aren’t the same thing. Lightforging changes anyone that survives it and pushes them towards being Champions of the Light. The Dreadlord we meet is extremely pleasent as he’s Lightforged and was purged of all his previous evil thoughts and desires.
As the Lightforged say. One Lightforged, their previous life is over.
TBF, dreadlords aren’t actually demons. They came from Revendreth.
Your point is unclear, expand?
Whenever someone complains about changes to the lore, remind them of this quote from the guy who created it.
I think it’s important to note that world building is far bigger than just “storytelling,” and it requires (in my humble opinion) a certain amount of flexibility. Sometimes you need to expand certain ideas or retcon whole sections of continuity to broaden the scope and accessibility of your setting. There are a good number of these types of situations already (like totally revising our timeline, suggesting trolls were the progenitors of all elven subspecies, etc. – there’s a hundred other examples). To make an omelet, ya need to break a few eggs, and WoW’s one big omelet
Oh, yes. That change of Lore.
Well, in Legion they were still demons. The later retcon is an oddity.
Course SL also proved that butchering the Lore isn’t a smart thing to do. As that’s one of the top 5 things people hated about SL.
I’ll never forgive them for what they did to Arthas.
You say that but ppl tell me that I shouldn’t have a voidwalker because I’m not a shadow priest.
They’re just jealous that you get a Void Walker and they get that… Ugly shadow thing.
Warlocks consorted with the Void long before the shadow priest retcon.
Reminds me of the Magic retcon as they wanted every magic to have an opposing side.
Course that’s retconned yet again considering Lightforged Warlocks are a thing now.
They may as well just revert Magic to how it once was.
It’s just another idiocy like undead holy priests.
That still wouldn’t explain why they don’t start turning green like they should when exposed to fel, but it would be a somewhat acceptable cultural reason.
theoretically, they are occassionally around fel, not eating it. if all it took to create green eyed/green skinned elves and orcs was proximity to small, intermittent amounts of fel, every orc would be green from proximity to locks and elves would all have permanent green eyes. oh and all draenei would turn red
Quit the game if you don’t like it.
You wanna play in a black and white space go read a newspaper
the way i view it is - there have been draenei locks all along, but other than their decision to be magically divergent, they otherwise support their race’s and faction’s game plan.
