This... wasn't very fun

Honestly? I don’t know why the human race bothers to do anything when we all just die anyway.

Fun is subjective; if you’re not enjoying it, you don’t have to play it.

Vanilla style play is not for people expecting go go go M+ style game play.

Hhaha hahah I hate to laugh and your response is appropriate honestly. But, this is exactly what will happen to a LOT of players. They will log in, try, get bored and leave and go back to retail.

This is why Classic will not kill Retail and it is absurd when people say that. I will be playing Classic, but I realize it will not be for the majority.

Did you mean to post this in the BfA forums?

I see what you did there.

if you know the quests by heart and you do multiple quests at a time, then, even if you do every single quest in the zone AND take time to level your primary and secondary professions(if the zone grants access to them), then you’ll be able to finish the starter zone in 8-12 hours, at which point you’ll probably be at level 11-12
with the starter zone congestion

No, this is about the stress test for Classic

Seems like you already made your choice and your content with current BFA WoW. Play what you enjoy.

That’s pretty accurate. “Welcome to WoW (and possibly MMOs) in general. You likely have no idea what you’re doing, so lets starts you off with 1 or maybe 2 buttons to press while you figure out wtf is going on. Come back when you have some grasp of the basics”

“Welcome back, you managed to get this far and might have a better grasp of things, let me teach you a couple more tricks to add to what you’ve mastered”

continues as you level until you hit a point where you have and understand all your skills and now further master your playstyle and take on greater challenges

The leveling system had a brilliant learning curve that prepared you for each future challenge. Sure it’s boring at first if you know WoW frontwards and backwards. But not when you’re still figuring everything out. To a completely new player it helped make you not feel overwhelmed and taught you how to play in a way that steadily increased the difficulty and complexity.

Its pretty true, even tho I am going to be playing Classic myself; the two games are very different. BFA still has its place; its still a good game; its just not the game it used to be.

Paladin is pretty much unplayable until lvl 30 or so. Can’t remember.

Paladin isnt bad - it just doesnt have the frontloaded dmg other classes do. Paladins in vanilla/classic are longevity/utility class IMHO.

Leveling a paladin slowly on the Beta RN (not cuz stress test…)

Use a 1h/shield righteousness build until you get to L40 for Holy Shock build and then PWNFACE

What on earth are you talking about? You get an aura, a damage buff, a heal, a stun, two bubbles, etc. Pally is one of the best classes early on…

Everybody is used to Retails PEWPEWPEWSKADOO.

If you’re not frontloading 8billion dps its not “viable”

Takes 60 levels to teach mages how to spam frostbolt and nothing but frostbolt for two raid tiers.

Yeah, BfA is like a phone or tablet game that you play on a pc. There’s a market for it. Different strokes…

Classic for me tho!

When you have to decide if you want this spell or that spell because you don’t have enough to buy both.

When a single white drop makes a difference

When / if you actually get a green drop and it’s useful.

It is a RPG when every single little ting matters.

When you figure out that making a group and not rushing and talking and having friends and good reputations on your server helps you move forward better than trying to solo everything.

Approach vanilla as if you are writing a story and enjoy it while you live / write your own story.

A group of people like table top pen and paper rpg and vanilla is much closer to those than a fast paced shooter / twitch game.

If you lack patience, then you will move towards something else.

Fortunately one can relax and slow down and then move to some different game (retail wow or other) if one is into go go go mood.

Even if you don’t keep a “blog” (just a file you type in WORD and update daily is fun to look back at for your own enjoyment, no reason to publish it if you don’t like to) of your daily adventures in vanilla, if you see it as a story and know that the fun is the story, not a race to a non existent finish line then it is more fun.
