This should be nerfed, but nothing has been said

Going into Cataclysm launch the current best experience (and this is very doable for many classes) is to solo spam normal Halls of Lightning from 80 to 82 then jump into Deepholm.

Will Blizzard please nerf this experience method and actually promote current content?

XP for level 80s in wrath content was nerfed by 90% in original cata, tho who knows what will happen this time.

80-83 HoL normal.
83-85 Blackrock Caverns.

wont you lose out on some important rep grind by not leveling in Hyjal or Vash?

Sounds like the same kinda person who complained about dungeon boosting, and thanks to that, we got the crap experience block that screws over normal runs if someone levels above the mobs in the dungeon. I dunno how often that happens, but before people cried about boosting, that was a non-issue.

Stop crying about how some people choose to play the game, and just play your way. In a game this big, with as many players that are in it, not everyone’s going to play the same way. If people aren’t exploiting game breaking bugs, why should you care? That’s also just one less person to contend with for quest objectives, probably more.

As to the rep grind, you can always go back and do it later, besides, there’s tabards to use to grind that rep up.

you are dumb if you do that because you will have to go back to questing after achieving max level if you are to get preraid bis

You act like getting friendly reputation is even remotely difficult. You only need friendly to get the tabards from each of the factions to then grind up via dungeons, we’re gonna be dungeon grinding anyway once we hit 85. Also, questing at max level grants more gold, so it’s not like it’s worthless to go back to quests you passed up prior. Not really sure about the logic here.

This made a lot more sense when the thinking was you could valor cap on Monday before the reset Tuesday. Without that time pressure, 10 days its not going to be difficult to reach goals for your normal 1-2 character players now.

Sure, some super sweats will want a full stable of alts ready for day one of raiding… and thats whatever imo… if they find joy in hating life then so be it. If it gets so out of hand its full blow boosting service levels of degen im sure it gets clipped.

End of the day not that big of a deal.

This is good for people who race for realm firsts, but that said this info was out there for eternity which in fact will turn out to be a bad method in terms of racing due to that.

the people have very likely adapted and found a better method than this to get from 80 to 85 and will just laugh at this now. Its a good speed but most likely nowhere near the speed of realm firsts.

Goodluck also that it doesnt hit the 90% nerf.

They will be behind on rep

Even getting the tabard is will force them to quest
But why should you care about how people play the game
If they want to spend time dungeon grinding then why should you care?

I’ve always disliked these sorts of takes. I mean, it’s difficult to see where you’re coming from. I suppose you could say that you feel compelled to do whatever is the most XP/hr, but I’d buy that more if you were a top 1% anything, and even then, I feel like it’s OK that some people will play differently than others.

I guess the question is whether new content should always be the better path, which may be an interesting question to contemplate. While I don’t think there is a fundamentally correct answer from, an ethical or moral point of view here, you could ask whether any of the game designers have made any conscious effort towards this in their designs.

I can kinda tell you how this will work… first few hours they will do nothing… streamer bro’s done? Alright guys we noticed something wrong with XP in WOTLK 5 mans and we are nerfing them by 80%.

It’s this for me. I remember TBC launch and trying to do ANYTHING in Hellfire without mobs and quest items getting sniped. Miserable.

Leave dungeon soloing alone. It’s not hurting anyone.

talking from a min max perspective, which is what he is bringing to the table ,is just flat worse

and you wont be able to grind friendly without the chain quests

Okay cool, going back to do them isn’t hard. Dunno why that’s hard to get.

I plan to do heroic UK to level, I can do 5 runs in 21 minutes and set my hearth to the town right next to it.

Then port to SW and take port to go quest for 40 minutes.

Hearth back when my lock outs are back.

Eh I’d say let them be. It’s only most optimal if you’re a tanking spec, and that might kill dungeon queues since there’ll be a lack of tanks, but it’ll just push the questing route more :stuck_out_tongue:

This is loser stuff all the giga gamers will be swimming in Vashjir
