Gearing alts has not been too horrible, it was a little bit of a grind, but im able to play 2 toons competitively while playing on 4/7 days a week.
Rogues arent on the tippy top like theyve been since BC. I loved watching rogues get man handled on AWC yesterday.
Specs like enhancement and ret are getting to see the light of day again, which is pretty cool. If the same treatment could come to other previously underrepresented classes that would be pretty dope.
Games are fast and not a BFA damp fest.
We have vendors again.
We dont HAVE to pve to play (while 100% optimization gates some gear in PvE content which is ok)
Obviously there is gimmicky BS that is a little trolly on the ladder rn, but we are 1 season in to what feels like a revamped arena scene. Im reluctantly saying that I have faith in blizzard for SL season 2, hopefully they only improve from here.

This has been the worst part of the xpac for me. Grinding all that honor on undergeared toons should be considered a form of torture.
Maybe I’m spoiled by WoD/Legion gearing.

I started playing BGs and goofing around in arena in WoD. IKWYM it was awesome. It could be better I 100% agree
What’s your secret? I get my toons to 197 which I know isn’t high but all I can do in reg BGs. Then I try to join so called “yolo” RBGs and get constantly declined. Unless you have friends or a guild that will carry you a bit it’s a struggle. That being said I still like the game and play too much if anything. Mainly just lvling alts to 60 then realizing I can’t play them so I just lvl more alts. S2 I’m hoping will be better and I won’t be too far behind.
I just play arena and bgs when im gearing and over a few days I climb ilvl pretty comfortably. I wish it was faster, but being able to log in and know for a fact youll climb ilvl even if you are barely trying and farming honor in bgs isnt too bad and is more than fair imo.
Shouldn’t you be in Torghast right now getting soul ash on your alts instead of posting on the forums?

My prob is being honor capped at literally lvl 54 with nothing to spend my honor on. Make the honor cap high enough so we can buy all PvP gear and upgrade it to 197 at 60. Or let us buy PvP gear pre 60. The grind sucks.

Depending on your covenant (for versa), you could just focus on the story campaign (which you need to do anyway to unlock all of your soulbinds) and save the honor for neck, rings and trinkets initially. But yeah, they really need to make this a better system for alts.
In mop, you could catch up a fresh max lvl toon in a day.
Gearing isnt bad, but it can use some work. dont go for 197 honor set thats a trap, do your full covenant campign and it gives you pretty much a full 197 gear set for few thousand anima. world quest rewards also upgrade to 194/197 good place to finish up some of your lacking slots, then hit the arenas, if you are good at pvp you shouldnt struggle much in the 1ks, once you get around 1600 its straight booster territory so be prepared to face people with twice as much hp and on a much higher skill lvl than you, most time i just let them win an go next, do yolo rbgs to get conquest, once you are around 200 ilvl arena capping should be fairly fast. worst thing about alts is no soul ash catch up, so you are stuck with a rank 1 legendary all the way untill the 3rd week.

thats a lie, because there was no conquest catch up and getting max lvl gear came from ranked pvp that was conquest cap gated per week. you could get an alt to max honor gear but it would never be on par with a max conquest geared main.

How long will this season last btw?
I’ve seen this idea put out more than a couple of times. Why do you think aff/healer will be so strong?
People don’t even realize we are heading to an even stronger caster meta in s2

people havent hit 30% haste yet
Affliction damage hasn’t been a big issue. The general consensus is that warlocks can’t withstand melee damage. I don’t think haste will fix that.
