Maybe I am missing something. When you do that, what does it show you?
All I see is a sample of what is available this week. If there are 4 options, I only see 1.
What is after this week? When do I get a new trinket/ring/bracers? How many non-upgrades do I have to blindly grind through before I get gear I can actually use?
The UI design should providing players with this information in the game.
Honestly Iâm fine with capping and the gear i get is useles if I have itemized for my playstyle thats better in slot. What feels bad is when that piece is low ilvl that i have equiped, but has the stats i want, and i get this âupgradeâ that is totally useless in my playstyle but maybe good for someone elses.
What am i supposed to do? Change my preferred playstyle because of the gear i get? I already played a class/spec that i didnt prefer in season 1 because of beta classes being released. Thats what feels bad. If I have better equiped in ilvl and stats that im ok with it, especially if the choice they offered me had those same stats. But no, they dont. They never do.
BIS pvp gear is now unobtainable by all but a select few. (super high rated players and high difficulty raiders)
The PRIMARY value of the vendors was to equalize power levels between players. You could get an honor set that beat most pve gear within a few days. You could grind out a conquest set over a couple months.
Conquest catchup let you easily catch up conquest gear to everyone else. The catchup also cut the time to catch up instead of a straight flat grind of equal conquest.
The vendor system was rewarding at all times. The new rng system is frequently unrewarding or an all out waste of our time.
This is only being done to âforceâ pvp players into pve for more /played time. But they arenât doing that. They are just burning out and quitting, as wowâs record breaking low revenues show along with the depleted ladders and participation.
So many systems in BfA are designed to force people to play longer, but have the opposite effect.
The reason why we donât have PvP vendors is because Ion, being a raider who does no PvP, has never had to use a vendor to get gear. He has said he thinks it feels bad to players to count down the days until they can buy that piece of gear they really want, and the lottery system feels fantastic.
They donât want to âadmitâ they are wrong? They think they are still on course and the unreasonable expectations of players (read: undeserving scrubs) are the only problem.
It sucks . Esp for me ive only started in legion but like i was just getting attached even swtor never got me this bored . Guess i have ingame events and trial of style to look forward too. once my sub ends idk if imma resub .
Well I have played since pretty much the beginning, but this xpac has pretty much sucked the fun out of it for me. I have spent very little time in pvp because frankly, this gearing system is an insult to a players intelligence and it just ticks me off when I think about it.
The only thing that has kept me playing this xpac are the new zones, something I hear a lot of people complain about, but I find to be better done than any zones previously. I do that for maybe an hour a day, if I bother logging in lol.
I just play both factions so i wont be bored but like im still bored but like i still want zand trolls too but like idk i havnt pakyed much in the past couple of weeks . Not only bcuz of all my dental stuff but bcuz im just bored .
if you want to gear strictly through pvp gear because you dont want/like pve then why does it matter when you know? youâre gonna get it.
sounds like youre nitpicking things to complain about just for the sake of complaining or to give your OP more substance and a reason for being a thread.
I want random battle grounds to be like timewalking dungeons. Every role has preset stats regardless of what your gear looked like prior to entering. That is how It should be in random Battlegrounds.
Broken conquest system. Even the choices Suck donkey golf balls. Then blizzard did a wonderful thing last patch! they made conquest once a week. Wicked way to help the RBG community thrive!
Gotta love running those M+ and Raids if your interested in fighting a boss mechanic that never changes. Honestly M+ and Raids feel like arenas, you que up and see the combo and can expect the same darn thing from them, maybe just different sequence!
RBGs are random which is fun which gives it a nice fun environment. Now if rated 10v10 wasnât a 3 page resume with CV letter, plus a facetime interview then that would fun to get into. But guess what I play wow to have fun and not prove myself to fellow wow players. a loss is a damn loss and a win is a fun good win!
Everyone gets a trophy! hahah love it!
Cookiiiiiieeee Crisp!
fyi I will still always target hunters when I RBG because they love it! You can see the smile!
I agree. It sucks your thread started out with troll responses because this is a good conversation. Vendors helped supplement for a long bad luck streak which many of us have endured.
Actually, the old system was always rewarding whereas this one has not been for me. With he exception of one +5 ilvl upgrade from the weekly reward and one random drop that was an upgrade, there were no rewards for me this entire expansion. I would even say that in terms of feeling rewarding, the random drop doesnât even make the cut.
You can argue that this system feels the same for you and gear is gear, but it feels unrewarding to me. To me, PvP vendors were better in this regard, even the honour points were good for something then.
