Eh it’s a good time to take a break anyways with d4 in a few days. I canceled my sub last week, it doesn’t have anything to do with the game being bad ether its actually pretty fun even for a casual like myself who really hasnt spent much time doing mythics this season. As a fan of time travel and alternate times lines im really looking forward to the fractures in time patch and ill definitely resub for that. Id be all for a major patch or even expansion around that sort of theme tbh.
Then you know nothing about this game. People always make absurd claims about content hardly anyone does. Lets be real,classic was dying, this is a band aid for the few that are left. It is in no way shape or form even close to the most played WOW content.

In all honesty, the moment they messed with the rare spawn loot lockout - the caverns have become a ghost town. It was all fun and games killing the rares everyday. Now it’s just sad.
I assume this would be why I haven’t completed the campaign story because it tells me to go kill the final boss of a raid? Not the 1st time they have done that, but why I’ll never complete the achievement / quest.

I can relate. I got bored after awhile too. Won’t say the game is bad though, was a nice break from “champion” and drama rama about big bads, etc… and like you, I can’t say what would fix it either.
I only know they’ll need to go back to putting the war back into warcraft soon but that’s just my take on it.

I do only world content (well, and a little legacy) and I’m having lots of fun.
I have some significant quibbles about a few things, but they aren’t stopping me from enjoying the game.

Well they listened and took out everything that involves any engagement with a new zone or doesnt have instant satisfaction so everyone can just focus on raiding and m+. Seasonal players run the game now.

That’s fair. I’ve just seen a lot of negativity regarding recent world content. And just kind of skipping over it hasn’t detracted from my experience, which is cool to me. A lot of the threads I’ve seen just have made it out to be pretty meh. Not personally saying whether it is or isn’t though. I kinda skip world content no matter how good. I’m mainly just a dungeoneer.

I’ll admit I had hoped there would be more to the Caverns than what actually ended up happening. I don’t think I’ve ever spent so little time in a new zone; heck, I’ve spent less than 25% of the time I spent in the Forbidden Reach… and that was just a filler zone for like a month.
The assaults… also lacking. I can usually knock them out on all my toons the first day. Run, kill forgemaster 3 times, loot chest, kill boss mob, done. I only do the rest of the WQ requirement if there’s actually something worth getting from it, otherwise, super fast rush to finish.
I was hoping they’d be more involved, like multiple stages or something or… I don’t know. I’ve done the researchers thing in caverns once and it was not fun at all, and we didn’t do crap all for stages because there were only 3 of us. 
So it’s just like… Idk.
I got KSM on my first toon 8 days into the season. I am slowly working on KSH while I bring multiple other toons up to KSM, but like… Incorporeal is annoying. Afflicted is annoying. Tyrannical is annoying.
I’m sure at some point I’ll start to fade pretty quickly on my playing this season unless Augvoker hits soon. Then I’ll have something new and exciting to get me up and going again. But, at the same time, I’d rather this I guess than having had to do Season 1 for another 4 months before getting a new season.
Bringing back MoP would be a start. Or maybe listening to the community and balancing PvP
Dragonflight is mid. Like there’s no way this is anything above a 5/10

That in no way implies it has so many players that the lights would go out without it. Its a novelty,nothing more. Show me some numbers that would indicate that it even has 10 percent of the games numbers. It dont,its a small number regardless of what random streamers claim. It will fade away like all old content cause thats all it is,15 year old content made more challenging. That could never come close to carrying the game.
Things I never thought I’d hear, but I completely concur. It was better, for sure.
