Dear Blizzard,
This has got to be the absolute worst state I’ve ever seen this game in…and I’ve seen some doozies. Your guild window is broken and doesn’t show players who are online. Your zone transition points dc with a greater-than-50% probability when flying into or out of zaralek cavern. Your fabled best.ever. gearing system consistently reminds me how woefully your game developers understand the definition of the word RANDOM. I’m constantly waiting for more flightstones, or more crests, or holding an upgrade I can’t equip because it would break a tier set bonus.
I intentionally waited for 10.2.7 to drop because it was supposed to have more “content”…I don’t know what genius is convinced taking 3-4 months to implement a 15 minute quest line is compelling gameplay or worthy of a customer’s money…spoiler; it’s not. I can’t WAIT to see what a travesty Panda Remix will be. (Did you know the literal ONLY reason I’m looking forward to playing it is to min-max as many characters as I can, because the more characters I have, the more gold I can farm to buy tokens to never pay any more of my own real money for your product ever again?).
Your community is beyond toxic at this point. Players don’t help each other. They don’t offer guidance, constructive feedback, or even just good ol’ fashion HELP. They offer condolences (if they’ve got class) or criticism for how you’re being a whiny entitled brat (if they’re anyone else). Guilds are basically useless at this point. I sit in them with 10-20 people online and no one talks to anyone else. No one does anything with anyone else.
People don’t know how to play your game anymore. Performance in dungeons is…honestly…hysterical. Your looking for raid might as well be renamed queue up to 10-man a couple of bosses with 15-20 afk. Need upgrades? You can be sure the shadow-priest who queued as a healer and then swapped in raid will win that piece.
You’ve all but given up on leveling in this “RPG”…you’ve even admitted yourself in public posts that you’re more focused on damage control and stopping the sucking chest wound of retention you’re dying from. Want to try out a new class? Hope you’ve got SIXTY DOLLARS!!! Either that or half a day and a series on Netflix you want to binge watch while you mindless clear through 1/10th of any expansion you want to “experience”. Then you get to max level only to find out your choices are run (controls the urge to vomit) heroic dungeons…to farm whelpling crests to even set foot in Mythic 0?!
You built a follower dungeon to give people the opportunity to “experience” quests they normally would have to suffer through in a group of high-intensity, sweaty try-hards whose only fault is not wanting to waste any more time than is absolutely necessary in a M0 dungeon because it’s the mythic dungeon weekly and they’re just hoping beyond all sanity that the quest will actually give them an upgrade. Follower dungeons would’ve been a GREAT way to level independently, but we didn’t build it for that, now did we? If follower dungeons are any indication of how engaging delves are gonna be, you can count me right out.
I feel like I need to have a freaking graduate degree to figure out class rotations, I need a user manual for professions, and maybe watch a ted-talk or two on talent trees–god knows the YouTubers could make 'em…you’re making them more complicated with “hero talents”…yeah, real heroic. 10 talents that you just unlock as you gain levels. They should just be called getting older talents. Just because talents? No no, I’ve got it…BORROWED POWER TALENTS…
Like, guys, seriously?! I haven’t even TOUCHED PvP…what is happening to this game?

p.p.s Season 4 M0 does NOT equal Season 3 M10. My 485, 2600 rating Veng DH was IN.DE.STRUCTIBLE up to M20 last season. When I can’t survive the first two pulls going to Veximus in AA without heals…that’s NOT equivalence. You’ve gutted my power and jacked up the difference between heroic and regular mythic.

You want to know the irony? I don’t actually have anymore right now. I spent 2 months farming 3.2mil gold with 12 characters doing nothing but world quests. I used that gold to buy me and my wife epic edition TWW. I then spent another month farming 3 tokens. I’ve got MAYBE 50k gold on my account in total…but, I’ll have 3 months to play for free when xpac drops.
I definitely don’t feel like teaching random strangers on the internet how to do the content. There are other resources for that. Any time I’ve tried, they were incapable of following directions.
i don’t really think hes trying to say help when you can find it somewhere yeah anyone can do that i think the point hes trying to make is he just wants friends on the game that do content with echother you know what an mmorpg is kinda really about like the good old days where if you messaged someone and asked for help they don’t give some snarky comment (not trying to like start an argument just pointing it out)
I can see most the other gripes but we already are getting best in slot pieces every other week. Why exactly do we need to gear even faster? You don’t even need the gear to full clear heroic.
No, I definitely get how to do basic arithmetic. My point wasn’t that I was immediately trying to jump into an M20 in S4 at 485. My point was they said the new mythic 0 was equivalent in difficulty to a S3 M10. Well, my 485 DH could almost solo a M10 in S3 at 485. I ran a 17 ToT last season with 4 other veng DH and we +2’ed it…so, ya my 485 DH really SHOULD.NOT be struggling to pull 2 packs in a mythic 0 Algethar.
At best even a +8 with affixes and a timer and it feels tougher than that by a mile it seems. Imo you shouldn’t be struggling at around the same exact ilevel it drops, or in the least is balanced for.
TLDR wah wah keys are harder than they were last season. Wah Wah my gear is lower than it was in season 3. Wah wah the game has bugs. Wah wah people are toxic because they wont hold my hand when playing.
Shouldn’t take long for some of the latter to show up, unfortunately.
You’re not wrong though. While some of the changes to the game over the years have actually been great and/or necessary, overall, it still went downhill, sadly.
I still have fun putzing around in old content, or doing the more casual stuff thats current, but the game definitely hits differently now. For me personally, its not nearly as relaxing or immersive as it used to be. To much stuff flashing and popping up around me on the map begging for my attention. The increase in bugs and decrease in art quality is sad too.
