is the price we pay for everyone demanding shiny new content every five minutes. Maybe if we let devs breathe, we wouldn’t be locked out every Tuesday. Just a thought.

Content creation timelines are way more influenced by the corporate end than the consumer end.
“True, but let’s not pretend players aren’t screaming for new content 1 week after a patch drops. Corporate hears the noise and turns the crank faster. Everyone’s complicit.”
you do realize they would be doing weekly maintenance even if they werent pumping out content right?
The thing is this isnt new content. It was done before. And the majority of the player base hated it.
Sure, but without the constant content drops, maintenance would be more like tidying up, not rebuilding the house every week.
no it wouldnt, blizzard always takes longer than they announce, have you been living under a rock?
Mistake #1 Planning to play on a Tuesday.
Just do what the majority of us have done for years. Block it out. I have had it down as a Blackout day for the past 15 years.
The thing I don’t understand is why does Blunderstorm have to be IN retail?
Seems like it would make a lot more sense to separate it from retail like Classic.
Ah, the classic Blizzard announcing maintenance windows shorter than the actual downtime. Nope, not living under a rock, just watching the magic happen… or not happen, as it were.
Maintenance vs adding content
Still gonna have server down times
I wish they just say it will be down until 3pm. If it done earlier great, but at least people aren’t waiting. and complaining.
This kinda sucks. I resubbed the other day and just wanna get my monk to 80 so i can hopefully ksm. Now i’ve had to spend my day farming andariel in diablo 2!
Weekly maintenance that last 3 hours tops vs 11 hours, major difference bud.
maintenance is maintenance defense… classic
Plunderstorm is not magic, its tragic.
and here comes the crackpot conspiracy theorists because they cant get their fix
they did that once and it did not go well. the game came back on 2hrs before the downtime was done
Change your cars oil while driving it down the road do ya? Neat
Only if the car is demanding a new engine every week and refuses to run without it. But hey, we all have our hobbies, right?
