This Loot System is Awful

You awarded me 4 pairs of 370 boots in a row. This loot system is awful. Please fix this one and give us something that is not as awful next expansion please. I would be happy if you just give me back what I had in every other expansion prior to this one and for God’s sake don’t let the same people that gave us this atrocity design the new system.

The removal of 4 slots from the weekly Mythic Plus chest certainly didn’t help with gear variety. Not to mention the ridiculous glut of cloaks and rings compared to every other slot out there.

After my 7th week in a row getting gloves i just stopped doing Mythic Plus altogether. It’s disheartening.

I really don’t understand why some form of decent bad luck protection can’t be implemented for the weekly reward chest. I’m fine with the loot drops from raids and mythic dungeons as they are now, but the chest is supposed to feel like a reward. Something to look forward to. As it stands, it feels like a crappy end of dungeon chest.

Would it be that hard for it to scan your bags and give you something that’s an upgrade? Or not give you duplicate items? Or give you something to replace the slot with your lowest ilvl equipped? Or give me back Azerite pieces, because I’m having horrible luck with the random lottery purchase of those I can make every two weeks?

I’ve not gotten a single usable upgrade from the weekly chest all season. Not one. Never even seen a weapon. Not that I’d need to now. Just bracers. bracers. Bracers. Boots. Boots. Belt. Belt. Bracers. Bracers. Boots. It’s ridiculous.

I would legitimately crap my pants with glee in the morning if I got a nice spyglass or dice trinket that forges. Or has a socket. Or both. If it’s 425 with a socket, it’s gonna be a real mess.

I feel like this is the statistic they missed. If they started measuring the amount of dumps players take in reaction to looting, and then could differentiate between rage dumps and joy dumps, that’s a metric which would probably keep them going for another 6 expansions

Who doesn’t need more shoes?

I agree. It’s too RNG, and if they aren’t going to change it, at least reward more Titan Residuum to somewhat make up for it. Could always use more of those, I think.

They should axe the weekly chest instead.

Lootboxes shouldnt exist in WoW and mythic+ is already over rewarding.

If dungeons dropped 410 loot, I’d agree.

Why should they drop better gear than heroic?

Because even a low key is harder than heroic? I’m ok with stretching the rewards, maybe up to +15 drops 410. 10s are harder than heroic raids. I’d even go for making the timer completion a prerequisite for loot.

Also, remember this is a response to wanting to remove the weekly lockout on 410. Surely, you don’t think m+ loot should stop at 400.

Id say conclave and on is harder than a +10.

Especially since you dont even need to time them to get the rewards.

Over a + 10 is for pushing yourself, not really loot.

But what if it scaled all the way up? You get 400 for completing, but up to +15, you get 415 for timing. How would that feel?

I don’t think raiding or m+ benefit from competing with eachother. The system is more or less complimentary at this point and that’s about the best for everyone.

There are already people raging that heroic raiding is irrelevant because of m+, no need to kill off mythic raiding too.

That mindset doesn’t seem right to me, personally. I understand where you’re coming from, but I don’t see why equally difficult content shouldn’t reward equal gear, at least in item level. Raids still have better trinkets and traits, not to mention the exclusive transmog.

Timing a +15 requires just as much concentration, familiarization, and individual player skill as a mythic raid boss. I stand by this statement.

If heroic raids were more fun, more people would do them. Mythic plus time trials are really fun, evidenced by all the powwow doing them that have almost zero chance of getting a reward.

that’s just like, your opinion man.

In all seriousness, raiding has been what WoW revolved around since it launched and its a large part of what keeps PVE people invested.

I don’t want to have a pissing match over whats harder, we’ve done that here over and over. If people wanna run speed runs go for it, but that hasn’t been what this game was about until legion and they didn’t even bother making new standard affixes this time around.

I don’t think something you can pick up and do in 45 minutes or less deserves mythic level loot.

But thats just like, my opinion man.

I dont think infinite difficulty scaling systems have any place in providing gear equal to mythic raiding.

Agreed. Individual mythic bosses shouldn’t drop loot by themselves. The end boss should open a treasure room.

I would equate the rewards for a single M+ run to be worth the same effort as a single mythic boss.

But why? I don’t understand your position.

Because infinite difficulty feels cheap, even way beyond the 4 layers of raid difficulties. And there is no end, just keep doing them over and over.

Because its the same dungeons for almost a year now. The learning has been done for months. Its just farming the same dungeoms again and again. It would be like instead of a new raid BoD just gets scaled up and groups kill it again for better loot. All the learning is alreafy done. The seasonal affix isnt enough.

Because coordinating 20 people is part of the difficulty. Requiring 20 people to play well and handle all mechanics at the same time is harder than 5.

Because bosses can take 100-400 wipes, and still provide worse gear than a 1 shot +10 joke done in 30 min.

Because mythic+ has no lockout.

Because mythic+ give loot even if you fail the timer.

To me pushing high keys should be for bragging and cosmetics.
