Dude, you’re not a dragon in real life. Get help.
Wrathion is an egotist and conceited. And as for them not being real, my opinion of the visage, especially for an important NPC, is that its as real as the character wants it to be real and it relates to their physical form, not to what that physical form might happen to be wearing.
He could change into a dress if he wanted to, because its his body that has changed and how he dresses that body is a matter of preference.
My soul is draconic.
No, it isn’t. Dragons aren’t real.
Dragons are real. God is a dragon.
Alright, let’s get this out of the way since it seems to be your main hang up.
Dragons are the lower species here.
Elves are perfect beings, while dragons are flying lizards who were uplifted so they could be the world’s janitors.
Visage forms allow dragons to imitate the form of perfection, and they still get it wrong by imitating gnomes and humans and other virmin all the time.
Any delusions of superiority you may hold are merely that: Delusions. Dragons are titan-made tools, just as inconsequential as Earthen are.
0/10 rage bait.
justin bieber effect lol
I don’t think Wrathion is anywhere near as bad as people say he is, at least in BfA. I want to pretend DF never happened because he’s genuinely written horribly the entire expansion.
People say all these things about him and I’m just like “hmm, okay, but he wasnt like that in BfA”
they regressed his character HARD in DF, it sucks
i hope to god that he’s written better in the future, but given how the writing is still trash now, i dont think its going to happen
Not quite sure either, considering he’s grown a lot as a “person” over the expansions. He’s a bit of a drama queen, and has a flair for the dramatics in general, but I think it’s charming personally. I thought the growth from him being a selfish prick to someone learning about being selfless in BFA was a decent story note, but they definitely regressed his character in DF.
Not sure who was writing his story, but to see his personality regress over the whole throne thing and suddenly flip over daddy issues felt kinda off. The only thing that felt authentic was his disgust at the experiments in Aberrus, which was just natural considering his origin.
I agree though, I hope someone else picks up the writing for him. He’s got a lot of potential as a sassy important side character with some actual growth.
It BOGGLED me that he said NOTHING when fake Neltharion in Abberus was actually a faceless one (same thing that happened to him in Nyalotha).
Like… did the character forget, or did the WRITERS forget!?
Though, every single character was a complete IDIOT in 10.1, so maybe it’s just that.
doesn’t this just make it worse? he’s not getting muck in his boots, he’s getting muck on his bare feet, that sounds awful.
RE: this thread and mud
“Don’t take life too seriously and have fun. Don’t waste your time on things that your ego will try and convince you are important.” ~ RuPaul
I don’t think it’s the case that dragons’ humanoid form is just an illusion, is it? That doesn’t seem to square with times (I think?) I’ve seen them in enclosed spaces a dragon would not fit.
There are two universal constants among people, as far as things they can’t stand, and this includes most people I know who love being outdoors, hiking, getting dirty, etc.:
- Having wet socks (some may tolerate it while trekking water, but a line is always drawn at having them wet longer than necessary)
- Having debris in your boots (I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone who enjoys constantly stepping on the same pebble for long)
Getting muck in your boots is like, both of those things combined, and considering Wrathion’s a bit of a dandy, it’s not surprising he’d be immediately upset by it.
Deny it all you want, but there’s a reason Dracthyr visage forms are all elves.
It’s not. It’s a full physical transformation into a visage form that might or might not carry over some of their draconic traits if they feel like it and, for whatever reason, like with Druids and Shamans includes clothes that get conjured into or out of existence. Dragons are true shapeshifters like Druids or Shamans except they take it a step further - some dragons can even turn into inanimate objects like a broom.
