In DF, Wrathion complains about getting muck in his boots. I don’t get this. Firstly, he’s a black dragon, so he shouldn’t be bother by a little mud, black dragons are literally Warcraft’s earth dragons. Secondly, his boots are not even REAL because they are just a visage illusion.
I chalk it up to the writers just not caring and/or hating the character lol…
I brought this up at the time on the forums and was shhshed. It was rude.
People just can’t stand when someone remotely defends Wrathion, I guess. He’s a pretty popular punching bag on the forums.
Shhhhhhhhh, now.
He’s a total fashion plate. He’s just the type to wear real magic boots because he likes the look of them. Also, my Dracthyr wears boots. They’re only visible in visage, but they’re not an illusion, because I earned them, so…?
He may be legit wearing clothes given he apparently wears cologne?
I don’t get that either! The writers really made him a human that becomes a dragon instead of the other way around. In a perfect world, he smells good because of a scale polish instead of mortal crap like cologne.
I mean, to be fair, SL was weeeeird for Forsaken DKs, and they’re dead people in the land of the dead, constantly being called LIVING MORTAL. I have a Dracthyr, and Khadgar does the same speech at camp Antonidas as he does for everyone else, leaving my Dracthyr or literally any of my characters over 1,000 years old pondering how Khadgar has “known them a long time”… I’m sorry Dadghar, WERE YOU AT THE WAR OF THE ANCIENTS?!?
Okay, but that is an NPC talking to a player with generic NPC dialogue fitted for most playable races.
I think it’s just a tongue in cheek statement.
Large lizards tend to smell musty. One look at a komodo island monitor lizard tells me that they can’t possibly smell good.
Fire-breathing lizards probably smell worse.
I don’t really know what I expected from DF, considering Wrathion has terrible character assassination in it.
Good thing we’re talking about dragons and not lizards. Lizards are animals that have no concept of soap. Dragons are intelligent beings and not animals.
just because he’s an earth dragon doesn’t mean he has to like mud. I mean, who likes mud. Dude is a prim mandona so he doesn’t like getting dirty.
Also, visage is an illusion but the cloths are still actually real, as we’ve seen in the mangas about dragons. Illusion that is very much real flesh and blood, not an illusion like smoke and mirrors.
He’s just joking and mocking real feet. It is all sarcasm.
You guys tend to live in caves, don’t you tell me about your soap.
psh, not wrathion. Dude has an entourage with gold, carriages, soap, silks, fine wine and fruits.
Dude is living the royal life as a dragon aspect.
True, but it’s like a fish hating water, it doesn’t feel right. Also, I am not saying he has to LOVE mud, I just think he shouldn’t be bothered by it.
He can easily unsummon his boots into paws or something if it is that bad lol…
It is hard to tell with the consistently overacted voicework. This is a voice direction issue, though, because Aaron’s acting was fine in BfA.
As a water dragon myself, I can confirm that I live in a house with a functioning shower. Even bought some more body wash yesterday.
He’s also a fop and dandy who thinks way too highly of himself.
Kinda dragon racist to assume an entire color of them would all love the same thing

Majority of black dragons wouldn’t, but this IS Wrathion we are talking about. Dude lives with silk between his cheeks.

He could, but he loves the drama.
That is what makes him different from his brothers. One, viewing him as a soft little welp, the other seeing him as a child that needs to grow up more.
His character is 100% based off the swash buckling sinbad. Badass but man, do they love to complain about simple comforts while doing outrageous things.
