You didn’t have hundreds of thousands, if not millions of character boosts in 2007 with a pre-patch that only lasted 12 days.
This is 2021, our current dynamic requires a higher honor reward system. Blizzard you should understand this, considering you included “deluxe” packages for the boosted characters to try and sell as many as you could. By removing the only means for players to quickly obtain epic gear and in a fun way, you are effectively reducing the amount of character boosts you will sell.
Apparently the honour gains aren’t even that accurate to pre-patch, especially the per kill honour. There is no way 1-2 honour is normal for a kill when a weapon is 20k.
The honor gains we were getting before nerf were close to correct. I did the grind in vanilla, and you could get a piece of gear every 3 hours or so, and the HARDEST part was getting hte badges, not the honor.
I agree with your post, but in reality the prepatch originally wasn’t like this honor wasn’t this bad to get or the honor costs of gear was significantly lower. Not sure, but I remember barely having enough marks to buy the gear as I would get marks.
Let’s see, fresh 60, join some GDKP’s, get geared super fast, have unlimited consumables for PVP. You don’t think those things help you grind honor faster?
The point is, we’re way past “how it was back in the day” in so many ways it doesn’t make a difference what they do anymore. What we’ve been playing and what we will be playing doesn’t even remotely resemble classic WoW anymore.
I like and use WoW tokens in retail. But in the Classic series, the gold distorts the economy and the player experience. Especially in BC where blue crafted armor is actually good for a while.
That’s not the reason I want the pvp gear. I know it’ll get replace in a couple levels. I just want the gear so I can make those couple levels easier and also not get face rolled with open world pvp.
Your going to get facerolled by everyone wearing T3/Nax gear no matter how hard you try, just do a few dungeons, when outland opens see if some of the nax geared folks will carry you in ramparts
