This is why you don't want LFD

This is commonly referred to as a “PEBKAC”.

Honey, I have asked nothing of you, and am very likely to never. You’re free to live your life the way you want, and I support you, but unless you have meaningful contribution there’s nothing I need from you :+1:

Wait it’s a bad thing I don’t want to be around people who don’t want anything to do with me?

Hmm odd.

Not everyone in this world needs to gel or get along, that’s pretty normal.

If the game is not what you want it to be, I fully support you finding another game that suits your needs, as a consumer you have that right.

expect just because you dosn’t like me it dosn’t mean everyone in classic dosn’t like me.

you’re desperately fighting a feature that existed in wotlk for 11months as the game reigned supreme during them, did you play wotlk somewhere without LFD? or you’re just assuming fantasy things as a type of imagination future prediction.

blizzard has to decide if they want the money of the elitest classic(few) or the casuals(many). that is what it comes down to. If they want to be a niche game company, they might want to let their shareholders know that.

Where did I say anything about liking or disliking?

All I said is that some players don’t want other players who are prone to make their product that they already enjoy, worse. This is completely irrelevant to who likes or dislikes each other. It’s purely on the basis of wanting the best product for oneself.

I don’t dislike you, I just don’t want what you want. Hence I’m glad Blizzard has made the right decision here.

So you just assumed that I am obsessed with this LFD nonsense that I would base everything about Wrath on it? I moved on from that weeks ago.

Casuals shouldered the blame but it was the elitist types that destroyed retail.

You can say all day long that RDF killed your “community” Prove it. Show us actual data other than this idea that RDF somehow brainwashed people into being jerks. Show us that gear score, pvp, mythic raiding etc didnt do it, that it was RDF. Face it, gamers today are not the same as in the mid 2000’s.the people that made up the community you think you remember dont exist any more. They grew up, moved out and moved on. You may not like that but thats life.

The community killed the community. RDF helped.

I need to find the quote but I’m at work typing on my phone, I can later but…

Blizzard said at the beginning of Classic Era that Classic is not being built as some kind of crowd-drawing excercise.

It’s meant to simply draw in the niche of people whom have an investment only in the more “classic” style, to give them a place, and even if it wound up unpopular and empty servers, etc, they’d keep it running.

So it stands to reason that choices made purely for the benefit of shareholders or purely on the basis of optimizing monetization are probably not the framework because that’s what retail is for. It’s the same sub.

Yet they’re repetitively made changes for precisely that reason.

Well ask yourself this, would you want to group with her in game if you had a reasonable alternative like LFD?

I’m willing to bet most of the people claiming that LFD killed the community really just found out their “friends” were only grouping with them because they had no other choice. Like yeah sure you’re popular when you tank, just like the first guy to get his driver’s license is popular in high school.

so gatekeeping them out is fine? You see how this is bad for the game if these classic players you speak for don’t want new players?

VERY antisocial take.

Emphasis on :arrow_double_up: :arrow_double_up: ME :arrow_double_up: :arrow_double_up:
Ironically by being so against DF you’re forcing us to group with people like you. Hence forcing us to do something we don’t want to do.

You do sound like a total control freak.

Extreme narcissism when you can’t understand you aren’t god’s gift to socialization in WoW.

It’s not anti-social, and this is typical gaslighting behavior.

You are promoting the implementation of a feature that rips at the heart of social interaction in WoW.

It is not anti-social to ask that you stop doing that, or that doing that isn’t productive for the betterment of the games social aspects.

Your social interaction. Fixed it for you. Stop hiding behind the community needs and admit that you’re terrified that people will stop interacting with you because they HAVE to.
