Rank 1: 3315
Gladiator: 2901
Duelist: 2509
Rival: 2125

2400 Gladiators now would get Rival… Thats depressing…

Could also bump Glad to 2700, keep Elite 2400 and just have shorter seasons so it doesn’t get insanely high like it did this season. It’s obvious this artifical inflation they add every week just makes it worse. Could have fit 2 seasons into this one.

%cutoffs are bad because this game pop is dead and nowhere near the levels of pop we had when we had % titles.

Seasons need to not go on this long. That’s it.

whats funny is a lot of these kids are streaming on twitch and calling themselves gladiators. the only issue are the egos created from these fake glad titles.

Why does game population have any bearing on percent cutoffs? If you are top 1% out of 100 or top 1% out of 100000000 it’s the same.

That’s the point of percent cutoffs. It’s the same regardless of population

MMR gets injected every week, season has been going on very long, people playing more/trying new comps once they removed covenant restriction garbaggio

Rival was ~2200 in a bunch of seasons. And duelist was 2400 in a bunch too. In mop I got 2400 but it was just middle of thr pack duelist title.

I think glad at 2900 might be a bit high but less people playing is going to push that higher.

The population does matter, with % cutoffs. Did you not finish 3rd grade? 1% of 100 people = 1 person getting it.

Arena pop is so dead as it is, adding %cutoff back would kill it even more, look at TBCs cutoffs and # of people getting glad and R1 for an example of how bad it can be.

What a joke. No wonder 2400 rated people got all butthurt when I suggested glad should be moved back to .5% again. They knew they’d have to move up 500 rating to be a gladiator if that were the case lol. Well played i guess.

This is why it should be:

Combatant I 1000
Combatant II 1200
challenger I 1400
Challenger II 1600
Rival I 1800
Rival II 2000
Duelist 2200
elite 2400
gladiator .5% (3v3 only)
rank 1 .1% (3v3 only)

2 ilvl increase at each rank stopping at Rival II (2000). Difference between unranked and fully upgraded at 2000 rating = 12ilvl. Conquest/honor both useable to upgrade gear, and the price reduced by about 300%.

Next expansion get rid of this whole gearing system.

Current system would be better suited to shorter seasons, at least 2 per raid tier.

But it’s still 1%. 1/100 is the same as 10/1,000 or 100/10,000… this is literally basic math.

Actually the 2s ladder better represents what the actual numbers should be. Rank 1 (if it was awarded) would probably be around 2700… Gladiator (if it was awarded) is probably closer to like 2500, duelist is probably around 2300, rival probably around 2k-2100…etc.

The inflation is crazy, our main team didn’t queue for 3 months until yesterday and we went up 250 mmr. :rofl:
