Yeah, a buddy went and got 2400 2s when it was top 100 or something then didn’t queue until recently and he had gone up 400ish MMR and matched vs some 2850 team.

So if I queue tonight having not played all season would my mmr be inflated?

As someone who got 2100 for the first time in their 10 year gaming i honestly would like %based to come back. The titles feel so devalued to me compared to “oh you were the top 5% of your faction BAM flex on them with this title” now I can look around and see everyone walking around with titles it doesnt feel as cool as it used to and made me want to pvp in the first place

This is a nice setup, could also skip every 2nd upgrade tier and make it 4% upgrades.

I feel like % titles make people try harder for them rather then just hitting a certain rating.

Flat ratings could be equally difficult, or even harder, but only if seasons were kept shorter.

I think that them rugging MMR last season was bad, but letting this season last as long as it did was also not ideal. Maybe they’ll split next season into two with 9.2.5 or something.

There’s wayyyy too much of a gap between gladiator and rank 1. If they moved gladiator to .5% and kept the elite title for 2400, that would give people something to shoot for, and properly reward the very high end players that just couldn’t quite get rank 1. It would also restore the prestige of the gladiator title.

what if instead of % of the ladder, it was % of the spec?

so like instead of just generally, top .5% is glad .1% is R1, what if it was spec based? top .5% of elementals or top .5% of unholy get Gladiator titles.

way way way way way fewer mages/ rogues/ arms warriors / rets / more under represented specs. also encourage people to play those lesser specs. /shrug.

I’m all cool with % as long as they restrict it one per account. You don’t need a person who mains warrior and has all of them at 3200 and take up 5 slots of rank 1 someone else can be getting.

Why not, that’s how it’s always been, and currently is for rank 1. If you’re good enough to do that…why not?

A “fix” for this could be that people with multiple characters on the same account qualify for glad/r1 only eat up 1 slot for the purpose of titles, but still get a title on each char.

Although this would increase the amount of titles handed out.

At least you wouldn’t see a single team eating up 12 of the 140 slots or whatever.

You say that yet you got boosted by rank 1s to your current rating in 3s and haven’t qued a game since but had the biggest ego for months after.

That’s what I meant, one per account but make it account wide.
Because the achievements is .1% of top “players” not characters. So if one guy has 5 toons up there and the 6th player down can get it too because he is a top .1% of the “players” not characters.

Idk where you came up with that. i was 2100 in like the first week, came back and inflation got me an extra 400 points.

The guy who went around calling people who got glad legitimately bad after he got boosted calling someone else toxic. That’s pretty funny. You should post about how you think getting rank 1 is easy for you but you’re too lazy to push which is why you haven’t qued since getting boosted.

While I’m super happy I was able to get Glad this season. It should definitely be % based. Cause as soon as I got Glad, I was done. Im nowhere NEAR good enough to push for R1 and I don’t care enough about 2.7 to push for it.

If titles were % based again, the ladder would be amazing, as people would constantly be pushing and improving to get a title. I know I’d definitely at least attempt to push 2.7 and in turn, 2.9 for Glad. But with it just being wins above 2.4, there’s no reason to push higher if all you want is the mount
