Without Raider IO I would just look up your logs and come to the same conclusion. RIO just saves me time.
The reality is that there’s a thousand DPS wanting to run keys, and groups need a Bloodlust and a Battle Res, and you’re competing against dozens of players for a slot with 2100+ IO.
This is why people should network with other people. I have a semi-static pool of friends, and though the DPS players aren’t the heaviest hitters I know, they will use voice and coordinate, so I know what they’re capable of doing compared to a random out of LFG. This is also why people encourage others to run their own keys: You can stack your own keys with superstar M+ players to ensure success.
After others insisted to post on the correct character, he wrote on that. You can find it above.
His/her character is khrill-malganis (mage) with 1930 score, actually it is alt. Main character is shizzdk , rio 2037, tank spec.
It is, today, yeah, because the same ilvl as a mythic raider is attainable by people who are bad at the game through the weekly vault and m+ rewards.
That’s why we also should get rid of these mechanisms which allow worse players or casuals to have the same item level as people who mythic raid.
also i like the idea of scaling everyone down in CMs instead of allowing an ilvl advantage in m+. In CMS people were scaled down and all that mattered were stats on your gear. People got the best statted gear for their class because ilvl didnt matter for CMs. This would also be good for m+ because it means that people who only do m+ don’t need to raid to push the highest keys.
Here is what I would do. Tell me why this would be worse for the game:
Get rid of weekly vault and lower the ilvl rewards for m+
Scale everyone down to some obtainable ilvl for m+ like it used to be for CMs. This way everyone can be similar gear level and all that matters as far as pushing keys is your skill level and group coordination
You have three groups of people in this game. There is some overlap:
People who raid
People who do m+
People who PVP
People who raid would be happy because their efforts aren’t nullified over time by the weekly vault and m+. They still will have the highest ilvl
People who do m+ only would be happy because they dont need to raid anymore to push the highest keys. All that matters is skill level and group coordation.
Fair enough, the 2000 IO should get you into any run. The system is not the problem, it’s the people that arbitrarily decide that someone with 15s in every other dungeon, wouldn’t know how to do a 15 PF. As a dps, you are optional.
I just meant the general idea that people don’t just need to be qualified for the job, that it should all be some big competition. I’d say other people aren’t entitled to land divvied up hundreds of years ago by dead people, to restrict my ability to gather food or make shelter etc and force me into some degrading competition in order to eat.
You live in a society, gotta play by society’s rules. Art of the social contract. And (assuming you live in a capitalist country) competition is king. Every company wants the best because they have to compete for their space.
Ironically, if you live off the land and away from society, you still need to compete, because that’s also how nature works.
You can’t. Humans are social creatures. You might want to look at getting some professional help if you keep having these feelings of existing “outside” the species. That’s a red flag for a number of diagnosis.
If you had the skill, your resume would reflect that. Never lie on a resume, it’s not worth it.
I don’t want to live outside the species, I just don’t like that my life is being held hostage by rules set up by dead people ive never met. I don’t want to live alone or in no society, I just don’t appreciate the way this society is set up specifically to prevent me being able to take care of myself and to make sure i have no say in anything. If i was able to choose what society i was a part of that would be very different, but anyone who tries that is labelled a criminal.
I was talking about the differences between the type of competition in nature vs the type of competition in the job market.
It’s not about key holders thinking you are not viable. It’s about players with more experience knowing their class and the dungeon mechanics better, which will improve your odds of timing it.
If you are only doing single pulls because of bolster, you aren’t playing the affix optimally. You can still do multi pulls, the group just needs to kill them evenly before the bolster stacks tack on while one mob is still 50%.
1> MOST IMPORTANTLY: Raider IO exists because the M+ system IS GARBAGE. STOP BLAMING R-io for the best band-aid solution to a problem WE DIDN’T ASK FOR.
2> As to your quote ^^, you’re trying to convince us that ppl pushing those 17-18 keys are queing for 15s?? ehhhhhhhhh
3> It’s S2. The bar has been raised. The real goal in S2 is 20s, not 15s. Witnessed by the fact so many ppl already had their S2-KSM the second week of S2.
15s aren’t the goal. 20s are.
But regardless of anything, stop the hate of R-io. Focus that hate where it belongs: on the M+ system as a whole.
