You may not appreciate the reward, but it’s certainly useful. But that’s not the point. Everything scaled up-- including what we should consider “the goal” for M+.
Where the difficulty bar was for 15s in S1 … is 20s for S2.
“you’re trying to convince us that ppl pushing those 17-18 keys are queing for 15s?? ehhhhhhhhh”
Of course they are. pushing keys and doing your weekly 15 are two different things. Everyone wants to do the weekly 15 but only a subset of people want to push keys.
No, there are people for sure who do m+ for fun/key level and to push their IO score. Those people are ALSO the people who get invited to all the pug 15s while the rest of the population gets passed up on. The top 20% get all the invites, the other 80% have to scrap even though they all have 15s. The top 20% have 18s
People that push high Keys (17+, etc) … AREN’T PUGGING 15s.
This is the fallacy that is being pushed here.
If you’re running 17+, you don’t have to “run a 15 to get your weekly vault.” You get it from the 17. lol
Oh let me guess-- the next step is to push the idea that people get a 17-18 score, and then just slum-it in the 15s for the rest of the expansion.
You realize R-IO will tell you HOW MANY of each bracket you’ve ran? There is a reason the guy that paid for his KSM and his info says “15s run: 8” is getting passed over for the guy that says “10-14 timed: 77”. The latter player KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING and R-IO PROVES THAT.
This is devolving into: I’m terrible, my R-IO score is terrible, I’ve only timed a +4, and no one will accept me into their +15.
Dunno why io is such a boogieman to some people. It’s just the consolidation and organization of information that players already have access to.
Start your own groups 4head. Or join a guild that does keys. Idk why anyone would want to pug stuff in this game, the whole fun part of WoW is playing with people you wanna hang out with.
Its that Competition nerve that acting up again on these ppl, imagine if they were this competitive irl they would be top kek .
I feel at a certain point even when Blizz says "we do not balance around 16 and over " then just like the removal of ML after several warnings of not using it with ppl you do not trust with and may other such similar such examples they will cap M+ to 15 .
Idk, a 240 frost mage with >2k io?!? I would’ve invited you to my 15s. Originally, when I was reading this, I assumed that you were the low level warrior that you have decided to post on, but if you are really a 240 ilvl mage, then you shouldn’t have any issue finding a group.
I vaguely recall when upgrades were introduced last patch that a lot of people were farming lower keys to get valor and their bis pieces.
Could be the path of least resistance but one could conceivably farm lower keys 10 to 14 or even 15s to get their bis Trinket and upgrade it over time.
Probably one of the things I hold off on until I have 2 slots to choose from vault to not mess up My choices
Just a thought since I know I need to farm that damn scale from DOS and ardenweald gives me ptsd with bolstering this week
Ilvl doesn’t really mean much in M+. I would rather invite a 230 ilvl player with 2.1k io than a 245 ilvl player with 2k io. That’s how much experience is valued.
Yeah. You missed the point, the majority of people who m+ do not do it for those reasons so you would lose a lot of players with that suggestion of removing gear rewards and using a template for equal ilvl.
It’s a little funny that you’re ranting about not getting into a specific key, then rant about the person you’re in a key with it being good enough for the content.
Seriously, run your own keys, and you’ll get into higher groups. You don’t have a ‘right’ to be in someone else’s key just because the dungeon has a drop you want.
