The battle for dazalor or whatever raid comes in 8.1 and will be unlocked towards the end of January.
8.1.5 is TBD and will bring the kul tirans and zandalari trolls as well as another short 2 or 3 boss raid, crucible of storms or something.

I wont lie. Devs do a good job when it comes to raids and dungeons (Mythic+), though addons are slowly depleting the fun outta it, because guilds are asking more for them and raids are cleared faster. But, when it comes to open world content, that is where the Devs are lacking. There is nothing new to do to get players involved with all the zones offered to us during the current and previous expansions. If they really wanted to time gate stuff, they should have added more open world activities. I really like Battle Pets and I know this is something that cater to many players, but more can be added to keep players active instead of logging in for raids and checking certain WQ needed or weekly. They should have raids be farm able given the time gated expansions. WoW is focused on Raids/Mythics+/Arenas then it is on open world. If they put this much effort into endgame, imagine what they could do if they actually focused on open world. /shrug that is something we may never know.

Here’s a real look at what’s coming for Battle for Azeroth in terms of content on December 11th:

1. Two new Island Expeditions that nobody will do. Sure, there’s the new cosmetic vendor, but it’s the same mechanics + a cosmetic vendor and a weekly mission. Still doing the same thing over and over for Azerite.
2. An Arathi re-skin that we’ll do once a month for free Heroic gear without working towards it. Remember that there’s no guarantee that the random item you’ll get will even help you. It’ll probably just grant 395 TF with a socket to an LFR player again. Oh, and half of the playerbase shouldn’t even bet on doing the instance right away. They’ll have to wait another few weeks.
3. Re-skinned world quests that give you a currency for even more cosmetic rewards. Still world quests with no new open world gameplay styles or mechanics. Maybe the item you get from these will give you an upgrade, but considering this is a slot machine, it most likely won’t.
4. A gated questline with like 10 minutes of content a week. Exciting.

I’m not hating to hate. I don’t hate the game, nor do any of the players who are voicing their opinions. We’re concerned about the game we love and hate the direction it’s going in. 7.1 was amazing, and even though 8.1 > 6.1, the dislike ratio on the actual videos show that the community isn’t happy at all with the direction this game is taking.

I will do the Island expeditions. I kind of like them and I am collecting the pets.

There shouldn’t even be time-gated races. Who’s idea was it to gate it behind not only content that takes months (especially old content that many players are still doing for new races), but also the fact that they’re gated behind tons of patches.

Kul Tiran Humans and Zandalari Trolls were the major races everybody was excited to get this expansion. Now, we’ll be getting them about 9 months after Battle for Azeroth’s release. Nobody likes paying for races they don’t get.

Mythic+ ruined this game for me. Who in their right mind would want to do dungeons on super hard mode all day?? I wish those would just be removed and dungeons similar to WotLK brought back. 1 epic at the end of the dungeon run with blues everywhere else.

This Warfront thing is lame also. You have to wait weeks to get in and its like being forced to watch 30 minutes of The View. Lame x100

World Quests are actually fun, but I would like to see more. Maybe even make some of them centered around wpvp.

Questing in Legion and BFA seemed ok. I didn’t feel a huge grind issue until I leveled another character and having to get more and more of the same rep was painful.

This game has changed so much since my favorite expansion (WotLK) that it is almost unrecognizable. So many people have whined and cried over so much small crap that Blizz made this game for 6 year olds. I think I’ll let my sub runout this month and finally after 10 years let this game go.

Which people are? Your post elludes that the majority don’t like the current expansion. I did a test over the course of a week, and stated that the game is trash currently, because that’s what I’ve read upon these forums, a vast super majority of replies were actually positive to Blizzard, and negative to these forums. These forums are most definitely filled with Blizzard hatred due to most of those posting this anti Blizzard hatred wanting only what they want, and nothing else.

I like the islands…we often do them in small guild groups and level up toons and just chat and have fun. A pet or mount or 325 piece of alt gear is a great bonus every now and then…

I like the warfronts. The achievements should be account bound imo, but otherwise they drop some gear that can be sold for gold or kept for off spec sets etc…

I like the islands, too. In fact, I mentioned the other day that I was sad islands were so unpopular (based on forums and YT), and her response was, “Really? Most of my guild loves islands.”

And the only part of warfronts I don’t like is the players who spend the entire time complaining about being there, or who really do just AFK while the enemy NPCs invade our base because “it’s impossible to lose warfronts”.
