It’s almost impossible to collect rewards because we only get a sniff of tokens per week.
And the XP buff is negligible.
Sucky rewards. Sucky XP. Sucky, boring event.
The whole thing (other than the few transmog rewards that we can’t even get) is disappointing. I’ve already mentioned in previous threads what can be done to at least remedy this, but even then this whole event seems underwhelming.
To be fair, the Anniversary event is just a bonus flair thing. We could just be doing our weeklies too like nothing happened and all Blizz has to do is make a post on their website accompanied by a small promo to new subs. It’s always been a negligible and optional aspect of the game.
yea, people are over it.
The T2 sets are a joke since you’d have to be an obedient yokel to go out each week to waste all this time on it. 2 coins for 3 delves? no thanks. Get reasonable.
2/10 event that could have been an 11 if blizz actually cared.
You get around 25 coins a week (You should get 30 this week if you do all the activities that reward coins + the intro quests). Once you get 100 coins (which will be done by week 3 if you’ve done all the events each week I think, maybe week 4) you’ll get an achievement which rapidly increases the amount of coins you can get to the point where you can earn coins on a daily basis.
tbf there are quantifyable rewards for wasting time doing nothing of import but padding engagement numbers. Blizz added updated T2 armour sets for one. Some other transmog and mounts and pets.
It’s it’s whole own content patch to keep people hooked into a lacklustre xpac release.
And it’s not very good because of the bronze acquisition.
Were you not aware of any of this?
I feel the same i expected this to be the big one but its def not, i hope whomever planed this is not planning rest of expansion, already in that i have toons with no quests left content in both game and anniversary suck big time, and as for alts unable to earn thats just petty
That’s the problem.
People have already opted out at 20, 30, 40 coins depending how much extra time they were able to invest in this nonsense.
People have already checked out. OP is the majority.
We pay about $15 to $20 (Australian or Canadian currency conversation rates) per month, PLUS expansion costs.
Don’t give me this “oh, just be thankful they let you play the game. They don’t have to put in more than the bare minumum effort” bullcrap.
We pay them money. Even if you pay in tokens, you’ve still probably invested so much time and effort into the game and someone else is still paying actual money for it.
So no. They can do much better… and they didn’t.
I stand by my point. This whole WoW anniversary event is underwhelming and disappointing. I care about the game and I care about the money that I spend on it.
I’ll give credit where it’s due (like the Trading Post being a wonderful addition to the game) but this WoW anniversary just ain’t cutting it.
You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone.
Everyone knows the bronze acquisition is a joke, but everyone has varying levels of copium running through their veins depending on how many boots they’ve licked over the course of their bnet account.
You mean it would turn into a grind fest that people would feel they have to no-life grind to get all the rewards.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I hate no-life grinding events. That’s what I thought Plunderstorm was, you had to no-life grind away to get all the rewards in time. The only reason I got all the rewards was because Blizzard buffed the plunder rewards so you earned more every game. Otherwise I’d have never gotten them all.
This? Being able to pace my week out and saying “Okay, today I’ll do this event and a few timewalking dungeons. Tomorrow I’ll do Korrak’s Revenge and a few Delves. Then I’ll go to Dornagal for the Theatre Troup event for a coin.” etc etc, is honestly far better and easier for casual players who might have limited time and can’t no-life grind away for all the coins from day 1.
Also, you know as well as I do that people who no-life grind the anniversary would very quickly start ranting about how they’ve got ‘nothing to do’ after they finished their grind in week 1 and couldn’t earn anything else.
Yes, I’ve been seeing these weirdo 70s accounts getting really sweaty defensive and beligerent like it’s their job lately. Tonnes of 'em.
And when blizz nurfed xp gains as soon as early access was over and the forums were ablaze from it, again all these level 70s accounts stormed the forums to defend blizz then, too… but… why were they 70… defending xp gains… the new cap is 80…
Blizz employees don’t play their own game confirmed
You’re missing the point and you’re an ardent Blizzard defender so I’m not surprised.
But even if they made it a daily reward and not a weekly one, we STILL might not be able to collect enough tokens to get the rewards.
When I queue for the BRD quest, it says I don’t meet the requirements and when I queue for the Chromie’ Codex quest, the queue is dead and I can’t ever find anyone to queue up with me.
There are other quests in that Tanaris event that DON’T EVEN REWARD the anniversary’s token but only give you Timewarped Badges as a reward.
Seriously. This is an anniversary where we can’t even get rewards, let alone decent ones…
I swear you could put these people in a lead role on a team of the most talented game designers, devs, writers, unlimited funds and free reign to do whatever they want to build a game to their specifications and desires… they’d still find something to whine and complain about.
