Hero talents are great, just not for every class.
Because the criticism should have been “sub specs are a dumb idea, stop trying them. Give up.”
Not, “oh these would be great if we could just easily swap them and make them even more meaningless.”
Oh, yeah, I don’t really disagree there lol.
I’m not talking about balance. They’re not interesting because they’re not transformative enough.
SL’s had a lot more mounts to farm by the end of it… I miss the creation catalyst or whatever the thing was to make mounts in ZM.
Idk I like my hero talents, one plays into frequent burst windows and direct damage with cool visuals, the other turns the core gameplay up to 11 and focuses on extremely long major cooldowns.
Despite not being transformative to the rotation, they both play differently, favour different talents, and have different strengths and weaknesses and both see frequent play.
My only complaint is Archon’s visuals need a bit of work.
It’s a good time to try and make friends.
Lot’s of grouping happening, waiting around.
Use that time to create a friends list.
By the end of the event you’ll be pug free.
Both of mine play different enough. The general complaint could be tied to talents in general. Go back to MOP style.
I’m kind of the opposite of bored. I think the xpac is so good that I want to play more of it, much more. Too much, in fact. To the point where I’ve done so many delves on different alts, M+, the like, I have so many characters that I want to play and not enough time physically, temporally to do so. So I’m kind of burnt out. And I want to experience other games as well.
Dude, same.
Conversely, this is the longest stretch of time I’ve been playing WoW since I can remember. I’m usually only around for maybe a couple months at a time before I burn out again and take a break. I haven’t been here for Brewfest and Hallow’s End since BfA!
Or we will see you for Season 2
Not sure what this offers to this conversation. It still remains true that Covenants were meaningful choices and hero talents are not.
Covenants weren’t meaningful in anyway, everyone just picked what was best lol.
I’m sorry you just picked what icy veins told you to. I assure you not everyone had a bad time like you
I didn’t, was mostly PvPing so my choice was different. Rogues were one of the weird one’s where the choice didn’t really matter too much lol.
They all mattered, in that your choice affected the way you played, even if that choice was to follow the crowd.
Hero spec is basically a bunch of choices you have to make from 70-80 that have zero effect on your actual gameplay and the choices aren’t even choices… It’s like picking which chip you want when you fully plan to eat the whole bag
If they all mattered, why did the vast majority of specs only pick a single one?
Because humans are a social species and we evolved to follow the leader.
Maybe, or maybe the math just worked out that way. If choice was meaningful, people wouldn’t just be going for the strongest one lol.
