So many game issues … so many “glitches” and “exploits”.
I thought this expansion, this season got ptr tested?
I feel like the quality of this expansion just nose dived. Blizzard’s still a triple A gaming company right? Or did that changed?
where is our money being put? For a paid service this service just went to garbage level

Shadowlands had issues.
But yeah, in terms of quantity of bugs, TWW likely is a new record ahah.
World First bugs with the raid, constant server outages, glitches like the title bug from earlier, free extra spark for those who exploited, stuff like Mechagnomes still having glitched-out arms and legs-
The list is huge, frankly.
And it’s sad to see from a company which one was known for quality, in the past.

Well, I know a big part is the staff change.
Turnover rate at Blizzard seems to be high, and all the old devs that worked their magic to get WoW off the ground, are basically gone.
Newer folks came in, worked on the game, and left.
Those with the most know-how about WoW under the hood, are likely long-gone by now.
And you’re left with interns scrambling to try to understand how it works, and keep it running. Of course, running into issues.
Nobody sticks around, seemingly. So they gotta teach new hires every time.
And we, the players- we’re left dealing with poor services, while they’re trying to catch up.

They’re trying to stick to a patch every 8 weeks, and it’ll come with all the bugs with them. Gone are the days of releasing stuff when it is tested and ready. Shadowlands droughts saw to that. DF wasn’t this bad, but once Microsoft acquired Activision-Blizzard they fired some 8% of Blizzard employees (1900ish jobs). Rumors say a lot of QA staff were let go. I’d believe it based on how buggy and unstable the game is so far under Microsoft.

Its not working I feel like they either dont care about this expansion OR they just dont care in general.
Microsoft fired all the expensive programmers and replaced them with cheap hires + copilot

- They were hiring testers for TWW right up until release.
- Blizzard never really communicated with the beta testers for TWW
- Lead World Designer said they don’t test in a video
Thus, as far as I am concerned the RWF is over, the hackers won because this game isn’t tested properly
It 100% is, there has never been an expansion THIS buggy before.

DF was terrible on this front, but TWW definitely took it to the next level.
Work ethos is different. Priorities are different. Streamer preference. Top guild preferential access.
Everyone else is treated like we mean nothing. We either pay them or not. Once enough of us stop, only then do they truly observe it as something worth fixing
Wow players are like an Iceberg. And Blizz only sees the top 1%. We are the 99%. Just like every company I’ve worked for. All the glory for those at the top while the rest are seen as expendable and not worth knowing due to the revolving door.
I’ve been with my company for 10 years and yet my boss will worship the opinion of a medic who gets hired for one month then leaves.
I digress. If enough people stop playing the game or parts of the game then it’s like “oh, we’re listening now!”

Yeah, I see that lately and it sucks incredibly.
I am amazed that people that think this is the worst ever, still play the game.
OP just shows up every so often to make a negative post, while conveniently forgetting WoW’s history.
Thats all he ever does.

It can be in the worst state and still be playable. Those 2 are not exclusive.
TWW is the worst state from a bug and technical stand point the game has ever been, does not mean i dont want to play it still or dont enjoy it, it just means that the game is well below par of what we have come to expect form blizzard.

And yet, we have had bugs and technical issues in the past which made the game unplayable.
So how is it worse now (while being playable) than previously when it was not playable?
I realize the entire argument requires one not to look at this analytically, but emotionally. And to jump on the age old trend of “New Blizz bad, Old Blizz good”
Is it perfect? No. Are there issues. Sure.
But man. Seeing the same people, do nothing but create negative threads. It makes me wonder if there is anything they enjoy at all about retail.
Just dont look at a group picture of WoW devs, or management.
It will blow your mind.
Not to this degree we have not. TWW has had a bunch of buggs that we typically never expect or experience especially back to back. I have been playing this game for, well since it came out, and we have never had multiple weeks were we have had back and back maintenance windows because of constant bugs.
Its worse now because blizzard keeps making the same bugs appear over and over. Items dont show up in vendors when they should, world quests are not completelying in some cases, mechanics on some bosses are completely broken, raz reverb is spawing towers in walls for example, you have bugs with crafting allowing you to get extra sparks, you have delves bugging out and not actually progressing. There was this really wild bug in season 1 where you could use the catalyst to actually upgrade old previous expansion gear into current tier gear but it kept the same level as the previous expansion so you could get appearances for it.
Thats just to name a few
The game is not unplayable, but its just an unacceptable state for what blizzard is typically known for. Its not an emotional argument its a factual one. At no point in wows history have we had this many reoccurring bugs, that have required this much maintenance, this often, this consistently.

You are right.
All that is worse than in WoD when a bug stopped 100% of people from playing the game.

Yeah wod had laucnh issues which every expantion release has had, funny enough save for TWW.
WoD broke because we literally pushed servers past capacity, and post 1st week everything mellowed out. We did not have back to back maintenance every day in wod like we do now in TWW.
We have had like 3 weeks now were they have dont maintenance every day. Thats never been the case in wow until this EXP. And we KNOW this is not the norm because blizzard literally fired their QA team before TWW came out.
