I’m having a blast. This is the most fun I’ve had in wow since I started in BC. Aslong as they don’t add something stupid like the wow token then I will continue to enjoy it for quite awhile longer.

I mean, it was a great improvement over the vanilla game and, personally, I was in awe of it at the time.

Now we can see it’s flaws.

You can never go back.

15 years of meta gaming will have that affect.

It’s the negative evolution of the online/social-media community, not the basic game itself (IMO). Blizzard today, however (as usual), does seem a lot less interested in maintaining the original integrity of their game & how it was meant to by played.

The absolute state of retail players. Go back.

Such as?

Erhem…

Mostly minor stuff, but still things like balance (which is much better than vanilla but still not great), itemization still being a bit wonky, most classes are still just a couple of main rotation buttons, etc.

A lot of these thing were greatly improved in wrath, cata and mop, and some were destroyed again starting in wod.

What’s the problem with it? I’m having a blast. Maybe not as much fun as I was when it originally launched, but I was a child at that point and everything was amazing to me. And also I had unlimited free time.

Everything is more or less the same, but better now for me because I’m not a dumb 16-year old anymore. I can fully enjoy everything the game has to offer this time.

Let me make a few corrections for you.

It’s not the game.

So, that just leaves you.

You’ve changed, my guy. The game is very similar.

Sucks? This game is amazing. Though I did rush to hit 70 day 3 I decided to not buy gold or power buy mats to boost reps and and using my character to achieve all of those feats. I’m also doing 3-4 dungeons with newer players to help them along and achieve a closer experience to actual TBC. Actually cleared Slabs with a 67 tank and 66 healer last night and it was a blast even with the inevitable wipes. We decided on our own strategies and didn’t flip out because of the minor repair bill or time investment. You are probably one of those power zoomers tbh.

Poor class balance, simpler and often mind-numbingly boring mechanics, no more bears without “flanks” now it’s boars without snouts, almost no experimentation with the gameplay past “go here, kill this mob x number of times/for x number of items, repeat”

Don’t get me wrong I’m enjoying my time. But let’s not pretend TBC is flawless

Ahem… cough… cough… not that that’s an option or anything… right?

I guess it is for the people buying mats to power level professions and exalted reps with available turn ins on day 1.

People have been buying tens of thousands of gold since the beginning of classic almost two years ago. The wow token will change absolutely nothing at this point.
