There have been multiple failures tonight. We are now almost at 12 hours in delays and all blizzard does is give us 5 mins notice they are delaying again. The technical issue they are facing stems from nothing more than them rushing this release and not testing anything. After adding Dark Portal Pass and making TBC a money grab they cant even handle the release correctly. I don’t care if people don’t vote this. Blizzard boot lickers will defend them as they get bent over the table. This is the most disgusting treatment of customers

Oh hell yeah i am rage posting. We are being treated like donkeys with carrots on stick. Over estimate or tell us 30 mins ahead of time there is a delay. Don’t ninja update a post title. People are defending this crap. They need some self respect

Very few are actually defending it. Most of us who aren’t enraged by it are simply trying to explain why things are happening
Blizzard screwed up, yes, this is true, yes, they should have tested ahead of time to avoid complications. But regardless, the issue they’re having is one they have never experienced before - so all the people screaming about how “WoW is a 15 year old game how can they still screw it up like this!” are just ranting out their rears
Maintenance is delayed. A lot. It sucks. But this crap happens, it has happened in the past and it will happen again in the future, there’s no sense in getting bent out of shape about it, just move on with our lives and forget about it all once the servers actually come back up
Also anyone who took patch day off work instead of the day after patch day off only has themselves to blame. You never take patch day off work

It isn’t just the delay. It is the hey it is another hour we are close. Oh sorry another hour. The issues actually don’t come from it being a 15 year old game. The issue is coming from the copy from what I heard. This is something they could have easily tested and prepped for but didn’t. They even could have built release strategies to do the copy in bulk updates. Say they take a snapshot last tuesday. Do the data transfer in the background all week then for this maintenance only update the records that have been updated in the past week

I’m not a Blizzard fanboi, and you’re correct that this should be embarrassing for them. The fact is we’re just going to wait because we love this game.

Eh, I just think by the 1 am delay people would have already just cut their losses and gone to bed if they wanted to
Please don’t get enraged by a small indie company failing, which has no experience with large-scale migration. This is Blizzard’s first time scaling or expanding a game. Be patient. They’re new at this.
