So you think the wow team is going to spend all that time redoing all the doorways so that giant races are a thing. I think that is expecting too much.
It is true that the vrykuls should have been a playable race, that is what it said, and that they were on the island of Avaloren; But Metzen wanted an underground expansion
No one is going to make you play a dwarf.

We’re going under ground. Earthen makes sense, Vyrkul do not.
Man forget the Vykrul… we need OGRES… they’ve been a big part of warcraft world for decades and we still don’t get to play as one, they were part of the OG horde.

After reading most of these comments from people that are defending this, all i can say is Blizz definitely found their target audience. Bunch of loyal cope mules that will accept any terrible ideas from Blizzard no matter how bad it is.
People with a brain and common sense can see that them adding Earthen Dwarves is a lazy way to shut up these loyalties that are asking for more races.
Whatever Blizz do, these so called fans will eat any slop that sling into their faces. They are the true cause of WoW’s downfall.
And for those with a thick dence skull: Vrykuls can be playable because they can be the same damn size as Tauren. They can be playable race!
And Mechagnomes is TRASH! No matter how much you defend them.

No one is forcing anything on you it’s an option being added to the game if you don’t like it don’t play it it’s that simple.
I love my Jeep Wrangler but that doesn’t mean I have to like every single Chrysler vehicle on the lot. They are just other options I don’t even have to look at them. Heck if you don’t unlock them you will barely even notice that great out icon sitting there when you go to create a new character
Kind of selfish of you to think every other player is just like you so if you dislike something they must dislike it too. There’s nothing wrong with having more options to pick from. Having more options to pick from widens your audience having less severely limits that audience
Honestly the more I read this thread it just comes off as "I didn’t get what I want so I’m having a temper tantrum". Just because you want something doesn’t mean all of us do. You don’t speak for everyone and it’s very small minded of you to just automatically assume that everyone shares your views.

Like the analogy you used of liking the jeep wrangler but not all Chryslers.
Though this isn’t anyone’s first choice, mine included, it is a character type that has both existed on Azeroth for a long time and works within the confines of the expansion. Give it a chance.
As for ithe Earthen allying with both factions there is no reason that they can’t. The Earthen might be another type of Dwarf but they are also a distinct tribe with no allegiance to the dwarves of Ironforge.
What intrigues me more is why after so long the Earthen are willing to leave their normal programmed function and take up the arms in defense of Azeroth. Is this a rebellion against their Titan masters or assistance against a perceived external threat?
