While I agree that honor may have been a bit too high nerfing it as much as you did is incredibly out of touch with what the community actually needs. You are giving us 2 weeks to level alts and gear them (via PvP) then nerf the honor gains into the ground so hard that its going to be nearly impossible for anyone with an adult life.
Not only did the pre-patch not release until 3am on Tuesday but now most BG’s dont even work and you get booted out if a match lasts more than 10 minutes then have the nerve to nerf the honor gains into the ground before fixing the actual system to obtain it??
Bump the honor back up a few notches so people can actually gear in prep for TBC in the short amount time we even have. AND FIX THE BATTLEGROUNDS.
It is a simple case of Blizzard not respecting the players time.
We went from being able to farm gear for our alts in a healthy amount of time, to being able to get 1 weapon at most. It is now going to take about 30-40 hours to get honor cap, and you need well over the honor cap just to buy catchup gear for our alts.
Blizzard, a nerf by 90% is something that just caused the pvp community to lose almost all motivation and hope to continue
I agree, like give us the ability to get our gear on our chars/alts with this extremely rushed timeline. Nerf the honor back to TBC values on June 1st when the dark portal opens.
The fact that this hotfix was pushed out before fixing the getting kicked out of BGs issue shows blizzard is very out of touch with their player base. And I mean their actual player base, not the vultures that live on the forums.
100% agree…It is completely out of touch. All this does is punish the people that have jobs and couldn’t be online in the middle of the night to take advantage of the honor gains.
yea dood… this aint it.
like just raise it lol
Stop making bad changes to be “Authentic” to the classic experience.
you literally added a STORE MOUNT. At least make the game fun for us. 90% nerf to honor is NOT fun
very good point my friend.
it should have been like, 50%
When the currency system originally launched at the end of vanilla the values we’re seeing now are more what they were. The nerf to 10% like what they did came towards the halfway point, or end of TBC.
They always nerf or monetize fun real fast but can’t fix the actual game… 2 weeks of prepatch is already a low blow to most gamers and now it takes 1 week to get 1 piece if you have a life while all the streamers who pulled an all nighter are honor capped
There HAS to be a middle ground here.
Yeah, because i didn’t stay awake until 4am EST, and then had to work during the day, I get to enjoy 10% honor than the streamers and other people got who stayed up all night?
Good luck being an arena player trying to catch up to people who now have a 80 hour lead on you during a time crunched release.
half the prepatch but 1x honor rates, seems legit. at least double it
Less than half the prepatch. Pre-patch hit December 5th 2006, and TBC released January 16. That’s six weeks.
yeah my thoughts are they should increase it by 3x what it is now for the duration of the pre patch. since we are getting a 3x shorter pre patch. im okay with it going back after TBC launches.
As I’ve said in other posts, a win grants you about 200 honor (in AB) a HWL Cleaver costs about 20K honor. That’s 100 WINS just to get 1 weapon in… 12 more days? W.T.F.
It definitely killed my fun and made me close the game for the night. I crossed my fingers that maybe Blizzard would compromise or compensate in some way but I know it’s hopeless to do so.
Look at how many posts are up about how this change is just out of touch.
same. Im absolutely disgusted. Worked all day, played 3 games to get 9k honor. Came back from getting dinner to 100 honor losses… Absolutely devastating
These guys are so out of touch with their commun, I mean cattle. Not only do they nerf honor gain on gear that will be irrelevant in 2 weeks but they do it by 90% in true Blizzard fashion.
The only thing that give me solace is that they will never make another good game because they treat their employees the same as their players and all the talent has left.
Just wait until they release the Deluxe Honor Bundle for $39.99
