This game's community is really selfish

That’s never what they’re asking for though. So I respond that way to what they’re asking for. I’ll always agree with people saying winning a higher difficulty appearance should always reward the lower ones.

Yes, cause I do want to wait 3 expansions to be able to solo it myself, just because you act like a baby about LFR gear

I didn’t say they were asking for it. I said this is what I think they should do.

No, because then no one will run the lower difficulty.

A transmog roll button is an abysmally bad solution for a game mode where there is a high probability every item is going to be needed for an upgrade. We need to just go back to personal loot where you could not loot a boss and retrieve what you won from the mailbox. There would be fewer threads like this.

I mean, the ilvl is still there too. This ultimately keeps coming back to the same thing though: You don’t decide what they are allowed to roll, and it is not morally wrong to not funnel gear to you at their own expense.

That is actually a GREAT way to solve the problem

Personal loot solves nothing and won’t return due to group stacking.

I don’t agree here, the people who run LFR and Normal are simply not going to be running heroic and mythic respectively.

It would require a whole overhaul of the rolling system. No, it’s not a great way, though it’s better than yours.

They’d need to change people being able to see the rolls then as well. If I see 9 people rolling transmog and 2 rolling need, there’s zero reason for me to hit the mog button if I’m there for that appearance.

The devs could come up with a workaround for it they just choose not to.

You can already see it.

They don’t cause it’s LFR GEAR!

They do this to sell you the item. It’s insane.

This I disagree with. But people do it in real life too, and it’s making the world a lot nastier too. Instead of looking to create laws that make parasitic-level selfish behaviour sub-optimal, they shrug their shoulders and point the shamey finger at the people doing the optimal.

People don’t need to be screamed at for playing a game selfishly. They pay money to play it. They should do whatever they want within the limits of the rules.

But it’s insane that the game allows it.

Frankly, every time you roll need on a downgrade, the game should keep track of it. And if you rolled need on the SAME downgrade again (meaning you needed the item, vendored it, and needed on it again) it should count x100. This is the fairest solution that will allow transparency about behaviour to rectify the situation.

The people who run Heroic and Mythic won’t come down and carry us later for their transmog.

Blizz wants to make people run each difficulty.

Thus: transmog roll should award appearance, while need roll awards the actual gear piece.

It would partially solve the problem about people whining about not getting loot that is not theirs. Like I said, you could just not loot a boss and what you win goes to your mailbox. No one can bother you about trading your winnings.

Oh not this guy again. Absolutely not, we don’t need to track people rolling for items as some sort of scarlet letter or attempt to shame them.

It wouldn’t. People hated PL because of the harassment whispers and duplicate items and not being able to trade due to ilevel rules.

And this bugs out sometimes. Blizz will not give you your loot.

PL was removed due to group stacking. It’s not coming back.

so is there a problem with making it personal loot if it’s JUST LFR GEAR!

Theres plenty of people that do groups from previous expansions to farm mounts and transmogs, I did it in BFA with Legion content

That’s why we just roll on by without engaging. lol

Or it takes hours to show up. That often happens on last boss of a wing when someone doesn’t roll and you gotta move on to the next wing. Even though you know you won, item takes a loooong time to show up.

Still circles back to me having to go through hoops cause he’s mad about LFR GEAR, again, LFR GEAR
