I just saw some Blizzcon bundle that included digital wings, and thought if they took the Diablo art team and had them design sick, nightmarish wings as Legend/Strategist rewards that would quit all the harping for a mount in solo queue, as well as likely filter a lot of PVE participation into PVP because wing xmog is huge in tons of games.
Glad-level PVP players could then farm a mount/wings every season, and solo queue only players would have a pretty sick cosmetic to shoot for–everyone wins, and no bracket loses anything.
I’ll probably have to reboot it at some point. I usually just play WW Barbarian, I never played D4 enough to full gear one out though. I love the art work and the chill hack and slash feel of the game, though.
Diablo’s art team are sooo good at their job. SL had a bit of that ‘dark, evil’ look to it and that’s why some of SL elite sets are the best I’ve ever seen.
SL S1 plate is hands down the best I’ve seen, S2 was good too–individually DK may have comparably good sets. But DK, and Warlock get the lion’s share of great mog options around here and we ain’t gonna take it anymore!
Yea blizzard letting the diablo team do whatever they want while wows actually caring devs are chained to the radiator in the cold damp basement of their tower
Even with d3s limited engine the art team blew it away like act 3 as a whole was crazy. Guys getting picked away one by one by flying demons while seige machines blow the map up its so good. While wow cannot even have a good rp battle without having 2 npcs stand still auto attacking eachother (so suspenseful)
I think blizzard should take some ideas from games like path of exile. Mogs that can change the apperences of spells as well would be for sure one of the most sought after type of things. Even if in the form of MTX.
