This game is so broke now

I call bull. They clearly have a choice: To strike. Risk everything for what they believe in. If they truly did not want to push this update, they could have told Ion or whoever to shove it, and wait for it to be ready.

“Fire all of us if you want, we all know you cannot, because WE are the ones keeping the game held together with duct tape and gum. Try firing all of us, and bring in a third party to attempt to untangle the 20 years of sgetti code we have to sift through every day. I dare ya”.

The Devs literally have the power. They could literally delete the entire game if they wanted to…sure, there would be civil and probably even criminal charges brought, but hey…at least they would be standing up for us.

Some of these aren’t add on bugs.

See elvui users now sometimes buttons go wonky.

Where is my leave vehicle button at. turn off addon, see it, move on. MOP I recall when we have zen yoga session…that cast bar went to crap. turn off elvui, do our zen yoga as old boy bangs pots and move on.

Questie if used can sometimes not register pop up completes. Or counts wrong. I know this…I’ve killed my 10, questie still shows jsut 7. Okay…sometimes it catches up by the time I see the quest giver. If not…its completed, no big deal.

Achievement resets…aren’t add ons.

MOunt issues aren’t add ons.

No, that’s what an Alpha and Beta test period is for. The prepatch of an expansion is to give players an event prior to the main release that provides catch up gear and activities in the ‘drought’ period at the end of the current expac. Many, if not most, of the activities to be available in the expansion itself are not even activated in the prepatch. It is NOT a testing period.

Add ons may cause issues and that is nothing new. I, and most other experienced players, turn off their add ons and only reactivate them once the add on maker has updated to the current patch level. But there are far more problems that are not due to add ons,and things like the warbank issue cannot be ignored and explained away.

The whole ‘this is nothing new’ is getting old. There are bugs and then there is a plague. And yes, tell people to stop playing because that always solves the issue. And likely it will happen anyhow, because even patience and loyalty have limits.

Just curious, do you have any addons? If so, did you try getting rid of them to see if that helped?

I think that you overestimate beta/PTR participation. Also, many of the people who play beta aren’t doing so to actually report bugs to blizzard and provide other feedback, they are just playing on the beta for their own benefit (to see the content early, test their own addons, etc). People don’t put the same effort into raiding, M+, etc. And some bugs just don’t present themselves until you have a TON of people playing and interacting.

Like it or not, the time between the pre-patch and the expansion is the real beta test. That’s not new. That’s how it’s been literally for decades now.

I think Blizzard knew they are not ready on warband. Because on the release day they delayed release time from 3pm PST to 9pm PST due to this. Their own message said the delay was due to warband. They should have be honest and delay the feature.

I do have addons and no I didn’t think to disable them to check as you rightly suggest.

To clarify: by “keep getting put out of sync” I meant it has happened multiple times in different raids but not every time. I could have worded that better.

I’ve worked with gaming companies in the past. You can call “bull” all you like, but that’s the heirarchy. Devs don’t have the power you think they do.

They don’t and they can’t.

I don’t sub anymore ever since a bug went through and it ate my money, without even getting a month of game time, when I tried to ask for at least game time from blizzard when I placed a ticket all I got from them was

“The payment didn’t go through” when I even sent recent pictures of the payment going through I knew they were cooked.

See you next Tuesday.

I had this problem, making a talent loadout instead of using the default fixed the problem for me.

read that again, and make it make sense?

it’s just not possible to fully test something of this size, in a tiny enclosed environment.

stuff will always be broken when millions more people are coming at everything from every direction.

testing generally focuses on the current content, so stuff which causes issues with older content, gets overlooked.

i’m not shocked in the slightest that warband banks are having issues, or that there are issues with shared achievements.
these are things which would have been more difficult to test rigorously using just a few characters.

i have to disagree with this.
there are far too many long term players who simply refuse to do a UI reset.
…and disabling your addons simply isn’t sufficient after a patch of this size.

yesterday there was a thread screeing about how it’s outrageous that blizzard don’t test every addon prior to launching patches.
people have some insane ideas in their membranes.

Yea, glad I held off buying the expansion.

Blitz Brawl never should have went rated with the current massive balancing issues.

Absolutely nothing in this expansion is exciting other than “new zones” to explore. But that would get tiresome rather quickly. Honestly, what is the most exciting thing in this expansion for most of you? And does it really excite you enough to spend $50 on top of a monthly sub fee for it?

As for the hero talents. the hero talents are only going to make balancing issues worse, unless of course everything was balanced around them and not this prepatch garbage. I highly doubt it though.

Quests that are unfinishable unless you are a private investigator reading every forum possible to figure out all the things you need to do to finish the quest just to get a tabard. I’m referring to quests like "Dragin Isles Adventuring: Being Yourself. Supposely I have to finish a bunch of quests before the last NPC in the questline will talk to me. But there is no indication what quests I need to finish. That’s just one annoying example

They rushed through DF, and the next expansion just going to be as short. They learned that all the money comes from the earliest few weeks, then the subs drop. Blizzard new philosophy is to rush it out to make a quick buck.

dramatic much?

if it’s completely unplayable, how come so many people are playing?

I’ve been here for all of them and it’s never been this bad. Have to relog 3x to open a door,Couldn’t ride a mount at all for 2 1/2 days, keep having to reset talents and re add action bars,go to turn in quest click the npc and it just resets the quest, quest objectives being unclickable, mouse behaving erratically only while playing this game, warbanks broken, random crashing, scaling issues that make no sense, add ons not working at all and just leaving gray boxes on the screen where they once were even after being updated, doing required task for an achievement and the progress not updating.

I made the mistake of getting hyped by the cinematic and pre-purchased but I requested a refund and got it. They really messed it up this time.

Agreed. It’s just really embarrassing coming from this big a company.

Blizzard haven’t actually tested their own game in years, they just outsource testing to the paypig players. Having said that, this latest farce of a patch is the last straw, and I’ll be unsubbing.

After a long absence, I returned and thought I would level up a couple of characters. Quests required for completing Campaigns are missing. I was in the process of completing the Battle for Azeroth Campaign in Boralis to do the eve of Battle quest but couldn’t find it and the place was full of enemies. At this stage I am seriously considering stopping my subscription. I tried to put in in a ticket but the system is too complicated now, I simply don’t need the stress.

Yep, seeing this more and more. I did it myself too. Cancelled 3 accounts and got a refund for TWW.
