This game is not defendable anymore

Honestly this game is going down fast. The only reason it’s not dead yet is because of dedicated players who spent years playing and don’t want to leave. I’m guilty too.

Imagine having to grind rep by playing bejeweled or memory or “get the turtle to the water or the flag or teach them to walk”. I mean seriously people keep defending this game design and then we wonder why it’s not getting better.

How am I getting rep by herbing a giant herb? Or looting crates? It doesn’t even make sense.

Patch 8.3 is just old content rehashed with a bunch of mobs on every single layer. We earned flying but nooooooo there are snakes in the sky that wil szzzzt you as soon as you take off. Open 3 loot chest and win. Wtf.

Please give us a real game lead designer.

Ah the old “no one truly enjoys the game” thing. I’ve spent years playing, but I also enjoy the gameplay. If you don’t enjoy it, go play something else. Why anyone would use their recreational time doing something they don’t enjoy confuses me.

My general experience when flying from point A to point B is to take off, climb a few hundred yards, and then turn on autorun for a bit.

It’s boring.

Having stuff in the sky is an actual step towards designing content around flight. I think the sky worms are actual good ideas.

I’ve never used auto fly. It’s actually a pet peeve. We were told we couldn’t fly ever again in WoD until the giant protest. Then ion gave us his passive aggressive solution. Pathfinder. But now we have to stay on the ground or get zapped.

You are way over reacting. I hardly ever get zapped, and when I do it barely slows at all.

No? You just have to pay attention to what you’re doing when you do fly. The worms aren’t there to force you to do the entire invasion on the ground.

Ah, the old “leave if you don’t like it.”

Everything Blizzard dictates is either a hard no, or a compromise. A compromise on things players had for years. It’s ridiculous. Their answer to the players unhappy with TFing was corruption… which is the worst they’ve ever done, and they say they’re happy with it.

The old Blizzard is long gone, and it’s so clear. So few people at Blizzard seem to care about the players now.

Some people also enjoy well done steak, it doesn’t mean they’re right in any objective capacity.

I enjoy swtor, but is it objectively a better game than most MMO’s? ehhhh.

just because you like something personally doesn’t mean you have to zealously defend it on its last leg.

Yep, unlike you, I know not everyone shares my opinion. Also unlike you, I don’t do recreational activities if I don’t enjoy them.

Maybe you’ve simply outgrown WoW? Or you’re burnt out?

Not everything is WoW’s fault, and some of you need to self examine.

How can you defend minigames? Do you think playing candy crush belongs in world of Warcraft?

A player from four years ago wouldn’t recognize the game as it is now, so it’s not always that people outgrow the game. Terrible decisions and horrendous development (which is BFA in a nutshell) on top of arrogance and lack of care from Blizzard is why a lot of players are leaving.

Are we gonna ignore how MMO’s are being phased out due to being fundamentally boring due to a main focus on grind they can somehow pass off easily compared to other formulas?

If they added pvp vendors back and allowed for just pure pvp progression, not having to go grind pve essences etc as a pvp would make want to play again tbh… I should just unsub, I haven’t logged in but once since I unlocked mecha gnomes.

Some players are enjoying 8.3 genuinely. This isn’t to say, at all, that there are not some real problems with this expansion. It is to say to each their own and whatever floats your boat.

Have a snickers. Your mythic chest tantrum will pass.

Not as a central game mechanic, no. But right now it’s just an optional world quest that you can choose to never touch if you don’t want to. I don’t really want pet battles to be part of my WoW routine, but I’m fine with them existing for people that are looking for something different. They don’t impact me in the slightest, and they’ve been around for years.

I’ll answer all your quotes at once:

Blizzard doesn’t owe you anything, and if you’re not happy, it’s because you made yourself unhappy, not because a game did.
