This Game Is Deader Than Ever

Yeah, SL in particular hit a new low bar, lol.

  1. It’s not required for the weekly accord
  2. Who the heck is still, now, 4 months into the expansion, grinding out soup for Tuskarr rep?

Nope, it isn’t just you… Which is why they’re implementing cross faction play. These are stop gap measures to make people think there are more people playing than there are.

You should try real content before judging how dead the game is. Queued content is a joke.

It’s a given now. The game has sunk to such a low population that we’re removing factions for guilds. Many players might like this idea but it’s very telling of the population.

Game seems fine to me, bg queues pop nice and quick and I have had no problems doing whatever i want to. Also the best part of this expansion is how easy it is to gear for pvp. By far my favorite thing about it.

Your majesty, I am so glad that you have decided to drop by to show them peasants the way!

On a serious note, how often are you just walk into the conversation and tell people how they suppose to talk? Even if you were not a part of conversation from the beginning.

Last time i’ve checked you are just as no body as anyone else around here, your ignorance and self inflation is mind boggling, like anyone gives a damn about how seriously you take people posts.

That’s a serious note?

Low quality bait.

Biggest takeaway is that OPs friend was bad at PvP and required a gear advantage, then quit when they no longer had the advantage.

Are you okay?

My friends list has went from 12-15 ppl active everytime I log to one, and many times 0. All I do in game is herb and queue a couple bgs these days because my friends who I play M+ with just stopped.
Anywhere but Valdrakken for me is a barren wasteland. I herbed for about 2 hours in between queues and literally saw 0 people out in the world in that time.

Judging how many people are playing / have left is always a really tricky thing.

You can look at your friends list and see that a bunch of people haven’t logged in for months, but thats entirely anecdotal, and while your friends list might be dead, someone else’s might be more active than ever.

You can literally look at how many people you see in the world, but since CRZ and Sharding exist, that means nothing, because you could just be in a full shard, or you could be in the beginning of a new one.

You can look at available groups in group finder, and honestly that probably has the most merit, but only if you’re actively logging how many groups you see for certain things at certain times and comparing it, rather than just going “Hmm, feels like less”.

But here’s the thing:

It doesn’t matter. If there’s 30% of the groups listed than there were 3 months ago? Who cares. The groups are still there and you can still do the content you want to do through them.

If there’s enough people to keep queues rolling and groups filling, there’s enough people to enjoy the game without worrying about sub counts or whatever.

Kinda the same thought I have about Warmode in general, tbh. Doesn’t matter if 90% of the playerbase has decided that they don’t want to participate in world PvP. The feature is a success if it has enough interested players to reasonably fill a single shard.

It’s also worth noting that cyclical subscribers are a real thing. It’s pretty much understood that a large portion of the playerbase over in FFXIV will drop off a cliff as soon as they finish the patch’s story (so, < 1 month, easily, for most players). It’s just how it is.

Not sure why WoW players feel like everyone should be playing nonstop for 2 years each expansion.

This seems like a weird comment to make as if the only “real” content is the content you do. Some people are perfectly happy questing and logging off, some RP and strut around small towns, others raid, others PvP. Any content should be considered real content to those who enjoy it, besides you have no idea what people’s circumstances are.

Indeed, I am, asking folks to support their argument with facts and logical reasoning, rather than silly slang and opinion disguised as fact is how you have a rational discussion.

This is not your lala land. Let people be and tread them as you would like to be treated.
