My brother tried to sit down and play, and even with “tutorials” is just completing confusing him lol. This game doesn’t seem very organized at all, you have so much random stuff going on. You can’t even tell what quests are important or side quests because they all have the same yellow exclamation point. There’s so many random things dropping too that he doesn’t know what to do with, and he got on my lvl 120 char and further didn’t know what honor badges were or even how to use them. I noticed that whenever you don’t know how to get something or where to go, you ask Google and the first unhelpful tab that comes up is Wowhead. Which, they never explain how to do the thing you typed in google how to do. It’s like just more advertising because they’re showing the same BFA video instead of a helpful video. It’s like nobody wants to be helpful just steal your time lol. Anyways, yeah, if there’s a way for him to do only campaign? I’d love to know how thanks
How many alts do you have thearchitect
Careful… “Only a Parent and minor child can use/share the same account.”
Ahaha, you people all think it is the same guy in all these threads. That would be funny. By the way, is there a way to accelerate how you tell? I remember someone said you can look at both and compare shared achievements, pets, mounts etc. That would be the laborious way, though.
Wait, what? And excuse me?
MMORPGs are supposed to be easy to get into because they are designed around leveling and slowly progressing. Modern WoW isn’t like that. Tell your brother to wait for Classic.
Okay then lol thank you
There really is no important quests to be honest, all quests eventually are important when it comes down to it. Just have him pick up a few, complete the ones he has, then pick up more.
If they turn grey, then the quest is not going to give as much experience, but to be honest the quests now level with you to a certain point, so you don’t have to play pick and chose. Ultimately all quests have a link to an achievement, but working on those is not really important either.
Just focus on skills, abilities and gear, ancillary systems will be figured out over time.
But I mean just the story line quests
Did you slap him? I would always slap my brothers to get them to pay attention.
Part of the fun of jumping into Wow for the first time is that it is confusing.
I remember trying to figure it all out in late BC and being consistently overwhelmed.
It lead me to having a terrible build. I was a dps holy pally with an agi two hander and mostly whites/greys. I died more times than I can remember wandering into higher level zones too.
It also lead me to making some great friends because of needing to ask people questions and what-not.
I was awful at the game but it was fun.
Good times.
Wow, no? Why would I hit a human being
Modern wow is extremely easy to get into. All quests are marked. I highly suggest having a new player start as a human warrior and play till level 20. Everything is very straight forward. Tbh I wish the game was harder.
Yeah, I’m kinda weary about my little brother being friends with people on here, I’ve got them accusing me of being somebody else lol
Also, I mean storyline quests not random fishing quests cause that doesn’t seem all that important.
What in the world?
What is the “campaign?”
Might I suggest a guild you are familiar with or a single player game, then?
WoW isn’t worth playing without friends.
Edit: Suppose it depends on how old your little brother is too.
The kid can’t figure out how to pick up quests and use honor badges…
… you recommending a game without marked quest objectives, most quests not marked at all on the map?
Nothing against classic, but your recommending something that is actually more difficult based on the problems this guy is having.
How old is your brother? Is this his first MMO?
ps: Don’t wait for Classic… the low level questing is way harder to figure out.
I mean, if he had friends to play with in game, that he could make while he plays then sure
If 14 year old derp me can figure it out, he’ll figure it out too. Classic WoW gives you way less abilities to start with, and quests are still fairly easy to follow. It makes sure you’ve mastered once concept before it throws something new on you. Retail throws abilities and levels on you like candy and gives you a boost to 110 so you can have end game thrust upon you. It also has something modern WoW doesn’t have, which is fun.
He is 7 years old
