This game does not feel inviting for new young players

Young players? This game is rated T for teens and older… anyone below the age of at least 13 should not be playing it. Yet we still got parents that think this game a babysitter when it’s not then they complain that it’s corrupting their children and demand things be toned down. This game was never meant for anyone younger than teens… so no it’s not meant for young players who can’t handle the themes. Sadly there are people who treat this game like a baby sitter and sit their kids down to play it… and sadly parents do that with M rated games like GTA as well and wonder why their child is violent all the sudden. People just gotta be more responsible with what they let their kids play. No reason mature players of this game should suffer because some folk don’t realize this game’s not for children.

Most of them aren’t actually new players, though.

You’re not being clear on what you want though and with what you’re stating, you don’t even wanna bother acquiring the information by talking to people.

We’re telling you since the beginning of this game, we have always had to go to third party websites to fully understand something. A word you’ve probably never even heard before is Thotbot, meanwhile everyone who’s been playing for over a decade knows what that is.

If looking up information or socializing to get the information is too much for you then yeah, you’re playing the wrong game. I’ve coached people on things like arena, PvP in general, etc. If you can’t be bothered, that’s on you.

Well I am, so what? If you wanted an unbiased opinion, take it from me and read my point of view.

I don’t care about an unbiased opinion.

Nor do I care if you like the game or not.

Not every game is for everyone.

Blizzard stated that most new WoW players don’t make it past level 10, AND THAT WAS WAY BACK IN 2010.

Dude, I legit asked you what you’re asking for and gave a reason as to why I said what I said. The only rebuttal I gave you was regarding lore. And I said that on the basis of WoW being based off Warcraft, so any player new to WoW even in Vanilla would probably have to look stuff up. I don’t think I can be more neutral.

And that’s exactly the shared attitude that caused this experience in the first place!

No it’s not. What did is you saying that you don’t wanna be bothered with looking up information.

Bro to be quite honest, this topic goes both ways. Most news player for WoW think it’s going to be like FFXIV or similar in terms of story/lore, but it just isn’t. WoW is more about the endgame nowdays sadly.

So why isn’t the game simpler, so EVERYONE that plays it can enjoy it? New players, and old players?

It’s like they don’t care if new players play the game, idk anymore lol

If game was simpler:
New player: Oh man, this is a challenge, but it’s not too bad, let’s tackle these challenges!

Old player: This is gonna be so easy, I can beat the content because I’ve put in the time and I have the experience.

I mean quite honestly, I don’t care if new players like WoW or not.
If you like it, you like it. We aren’t here to tell you if YOU will like it or not.
It is nearly impossible to balance the “casual” mindset or the “new” mindset, because so many people have so many variations of opinions on them.

Because the game was never meant to be simple. Really, consider this.

We have 5 different types of debuffs, all color codes. We have over five different forms of crowd control classifications. We have diminishing returns, and means of tracking them. We have various forms of kicks, some magic, some physical, some ranged, some melee. We have different spell schools, mixed spell schools. We have interactions like deathing-polymorph.

The game is not simple. It has not been simple since TBC. You just don’t want to take the time to learn it.

Game looks a lot more simple, when I look at videos of vanilla, tbc, and wotlk. Less buttons, less convoluted systems, more social friendly. What else ?

Then answer my question: why are you not talking to the old timers to learn the game if you want a more social-friendly experience?

None of those things have anything to do with new players.

No comment, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the new player experience is complete trash in this game. I shouldn’t have to google every 10 minutes.

You will be saddened to hear that it is probably the best it’s ever been.

We’ve come a long way.

You really dont have to worry about google till you do end game pve or pvp related. The game isnt that deep till endgame.

Nah, nah. Welcome to the adult world young person, now we take accountability. Rather than going to google, you could just as easily spend the time to find a good group of people and learn the game a bit better. It completely fixes your issues. You’d find a social experience, require less in the way of Google, and have a better form of learning the game.

Not the best it’s ever been, only the best as you remember it, because BFA+SL were both absolute dumpster fire trash based on what I’ve read (and experienced LOL)
