People are paying early access to a beta test…
Let.
That.
Sink.
IN.
I have no words…
“le sigh”
Market equilibrium is only for those that play by the rules.
2030 to finish this saga? What they intend to have 5 expansions???
I mean, roughly 2 years per expansion like normal would get us there. And we already know there’s only 3 in this saga. 2024 + 6 = 2030.
If that is the case why is TWW coming out in a month? The expansion is not ready based on beta feedback.
“Just go with it man”
Up in Smoke is my jam!
That is scary because Rogues have a hero cap stone that is a DPS loss for the new expansion and it offers a long animation lock.
Remember its not the speed it’s released it’s how you use it.
Well the problem is that builds are unstable so I am not sure there is speed involved or the ability to even play the game. More stable builds till launch would be better but really prepatch is scheduled for tomorrow.
They already do though, what exactly do you think expansions are?
TWW expansion isn’t very new and more of the same from DF to be honest. I think with that in mind you would think outside of Delves and hero talents everything would run smooth on PTR and beta but that is not the case.
And that’s a good thing imo. We don’t need a wildly different WoW every expansion. Grow on what we currently have and make it better (still waiting for this part regarding m+), not replace it entirely.
I am okay with more growth and improving QoL of the game. But the problem is that bugs from DF beta still persist into TWW beta so that kind of slows down any momentum really.
Be prepared for lots of tuning passes; end game delves are still a gimmicky mess–fine for some classes, not for others
Does tuning exist for a lot of classes like Monks, DHs, Shamans, Druids and Rogues?
I guess we find out over the next four weeks I guess!
Given how buggy Beta is, I can’t see how it will be ready in time. My test character was bricked due to the dreaded fall through the world, DC loop. Currently I have to relog after almost every quest. I want to help testing, but Beta’s current build is very broken.
I had a hard time doing any tests on PTR and beta.
PTR was down more than beta which is not really common.
I’m not worried, yet.
The only thing that needs to be ready tomorrow are the talent tree revamps and warband conversion.
They have until next week to ensure the prepatch event is good to go.
They have until the 22nd to get the questing zones, hero talents, and instances good to go. That’s still four and a half weeks of time (and development builds are usually further ahead then what we see.)
They have until September 10th to ensure raids, mythic+, and everything else coming in Season 1 is good to go.
WoW needs a “2” like they’ve tried to do for Overwatch: Improved engine and graphics, everything just moves over. For WoW, I’d take advantage of its superior open world tech (compared to other MMOs where you need a loading screen between each zone) and implement dynamic world content/pvp, player housing (long overdue) and more social content, and make actual content horizontal so that players can enjoy and get rewards from whatever areas they desire (it would be about a tier lower than the current ‘endgame’ content, and with levells accumulating like in GW2). With this, the sub model can also be transitioned, and DLC islands / content added more often like the Saga would means experimental things can be tried in the main game, and lore could be expanded and corrected as quickly as necessary… I personally wish to see ALL versions of the game converge into this big, horizontal “WoW 2”, and an intricate enough talent system to where anyone could play any build to imitate their favourite playstyles from different xpaks. This is my vision for WoW after 2030 to put the World back in Warcraft. Just some ideas
I’m optimistic for the WorldSoul Saga as a whole, with the systems and the lore promises, it seems like we’re moving indeed in a long-term visionary direction (whatever the actual details after 2030 will end up being).
