Almost tempted to roll on classic just to experience this again.
I signed in with my level 61 priest I am trying to finish leveling and so I could also cleanse people. I have had a few come up and cleanse me knowing I could and I have no problem doing so. I also stand back as zombies are attacking and shield myself and watch for players getting infected and cleanse them without being asked. I figure it might keep someone from getting as upset that don’t want to participate.
But don’t hang out in Feathermoon, because the plague/zombies have been there for several hours now.
Is this considered a “city”?
Okay. So the reason many of us roll on PVE servers is because we do not like PVP. Now, for a week, despite us being on PVE servers, we are forced to PVP. But, you say we should be enjoying it, because it’s a change of pace, and that makes it fun. Okay, cool. You get a week. You get to force your idea of fun on us. Alright then.
In exchange, there should be a week on PVP servers where you can only PVE. No PVP whatsoever. That’s a change of pace, which makes it fun. And if you don’t like it, you can log off for a week. Okay? We all cool with that?

People like you are genuinely why WoW is a shell of its former self. This is a limited time INVASION event that is cool and unique to the genre. Go play retail if you need your hand held as you walk to the banker/ah

See above. And, the zombies are still there hours later, will they ever leave? At least in Booty Bay the NPC’s are strong enough to put up a fight.
Be happy you even get to experience it. A lot of of us are going to miss all of it. Dont worry, its almost over.

I’ve been able to do a few achievements, questing and going afk in booty bay without much issue on faerlina
along with grom gol
Arathi highlands has been pretty empty
as was tarren mill
My server it’s like nothing is happening.

I loathed this event over a decade ago. This time I know what to expect… and I have used my priest and paladin to run around cleansing disease - much to the annoyance of many people I cured. I regard them as wanting to be agents of the Lich King and fighting back is what makes it fun for me. This part of the event will be all over by the next reset… so if it gets a bit over the top a little break is the fix.
Alright I think I’m starting to get the enjoyment out of this event now, just ran someone out of Ironforge by aggressively chasing them down and cleansing them every time they tried to get the disease!
It s a fun event. I only play hardcore Ironman characters and even I love it. It had a bit of danger and is perfect for the introduction of WOTLK. Obviously you always have the frustrated Karen to complain about something a lot of people enjoy.
Why should we listen to Karen instead of pointing the finger and laugh?
If you don t like it there are other things you can do

the reason is bc you’re probably getting hit by zombies higher level than you, therefore their disease is harder to cleanse as it will resist
if you don’t like it I recommend stay away from shatt, u can easily make your hearth a nearby town and still do everything you want in the game
Just know, if and when I can get on tonight, first thing I’m going to do is seekout infection so I can spread the “love”.

Physically impossible as my character is max level and sunwell geared. 
Until the 26th there is no way one of these zombies can be higher level than me. It’s just a forced failure rate that blizzard decided to slap onto the disease because they want to enable the worst players in the game to continue to be as disruptive as possible.

I think my record so far is like 15 cure diseases (on top of refreshing abolish disease) before I finally scrubbed one guy clean
