Apparently blizzards made it to where you can’t opt out of the event by cleasnsing yourself.
Getting mobbed by zombie NPCs that other PCs decided to mass spawn to distrupt trade hubs, cities and questing zones means you just get turned faster.
Apparently avoiding PvP servers to avoid players distrupting your game play wasn’t enough, blizzard had to make them also completely untargetable in shattrath so you can’t even stop them from spreading the plague around, so now they can grief everyone in a city completely unimpeded!
This event never should have been run again.

been leveling my paladin and was wondering the same thing. I mean it says right on the ability that it removes diseases.

Is working has intended. Has the event phases continues the plague will be harder to cleanse. Theres nothing wrong with it.

So, what your telling me is that I just don’t get to play the game until blizzard shuts off the event.

It has a 50% chance to resist the cleanse right now, and I think it gets even higher as the event goes on while the time it takes to zombify gets lower.

You can go to any argent healer and cleanse it if u dont want to spam and yes it will get worst has time passes. Love this event

That’s an absolutely obnoxious thing to do.
Hey, you have a debuff you can’t cleanse that will just outright kill you and make you have to corpse run back to your body in the middle of town, and you can’t get rid of it. Have “Fun”.
This event never should have been brought back.
If you wanted to have an event in some stupid little backwater where people can greif themselves for hours for as long as they cared to, fine. But dragging other people into it that do not want to be a part of it is obnoxious.
This event’s just a greifers paradise, just run around wasting other players time. Marvelous.

the whole point of the event is that the disease becomes harder and harder to cleanse because you are being overwhelmed by the scourge.

You aren’t getting “overwhelmed” when it’s like… 2-3 people trolling and the game actively prevents you from dealing with it.
There is no overwhelming, it’s literally just a small handle of people spreading chaos.
It was like that back in the day so im happy about it. wait until you see the abominations frost dragons and necropolis coming to the city ahaha. its a fun event

cities are being covered in plagued insects as well, and on the last day the argent healers will disappear.
So maybe log off this week if the whole wrath pre patch makes you this upset.

The whole wrath prepatch doesn’t upset me, it’s this stupid greifers paradise event that frustrates me. I should at least be able to cleanse myself so I can ignore this garbage as everyone and their brother thinks it’s “Oh so funny” to drag the plague everywhere, and destroy every single questing hub and city, because “lulz it’s funny”
This event should be in a contained area that the plague cannot get out of, and let people run around turning stuff into zombies there. There’s absolutely no reason for this event to be as disturptive as it is.
