Bug just happened to me on January 2nd, 2021.
Very disappointed in the push by Blizzard to get my level 56 alt to Shadowlands. He’s been working the Azeroth line to first get flying (done) and then work on alt races. Along the way the storyline has been interesting but for some reason Blizzard has decided at that level no more rep and no more experience. Which is exactly what I don’t want as a player. Is it too much to ask to do the Azeroth storyline without being pushed to level out and abandon? Shooting themselves in the foot here.
Which is a tangent but is being caused by the push of the Shadowlands quest and phase.
Now to go back to my dead alt looping between Ogrimmar, some desert, and the graveyard.
