"this action is restricted" when trying to use AH or trade. Why?

Ive been locked out of all trade activity for over 24 hours.

Made a ticket only to be told by a bot that i had violated tos and it was the right thing to do.

After escalating the ticket, its been half a day and nothing.

Logging out does nothing to solve it.

Also experiencing the same issue, it is ridiculous that there’s no update or information regarding this bug, hopefully the Tuesday update fixes it? I also tried to start a report ticket but got hit with a bot reply as well. It’s crazy how far blizzard has fallen as a company

Yup same issue on HC server for days now.

Response i got from a ticket: First off, sorry you’re dealing with this hiccup – I know it can be a bit of a bummer. Unfortunately, us folks at Customer Support can’t directly fix these mechanics-related issues, but we’re here to help guide you through a possible solution!

For some players logging out for a full day has been fixing this issue, there was a fix rolled out. If you haven’t signed out of the game for at least 12 hours please do so, then report a bug if it continues.

same thing here

Yeah i had this issue and my friend is also having this issue. makes getting started much more difficult. No trading or auction house.

what solution did they find?

I have this and have recieved 2 automated responses linking to the tos page.

Im so beyond frustrwted with this.

Just keep renewing the ticket and hoping they figure out what they broke.

Over 14 hours offline and it’s NOT WORKING!

can you guys create a new character and is all that stuff still broken for you on the new character? if not, maybe its a way they are making you guys make an alt to level up!

Ive just received this response to my ticket. I have just tried to log out for over 12 hours to no avail but this does seem to make some sense but i 30 days is allottt of time to be able to use features like the AH.

Your ticket has received the following response:

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us and we’re sorry that we couldn’t get back to you before now.

Sorry to hear that you’ve been having some difficulties using the Auction House, Trading with your friends, or sending mail. This error can occur for the following reasons:

  • The character is self found
  • The character is on a seasonal realm and has not yet consumed 30 days of game time since 2017

If your character is not self found and your account has consumed 30 days of game time, you should be able to work around this by logging out from wow for a minimum of 12 hours.

You can find more information on this here:

Customer support does not have any tools which allow us to alter or change this restriction but we hope that this information does help you out.

Best regards,

Blizzard Entertainment

So we are paying for a product not as advertised?

Trial period is in the disclosure, around 24 hours for new accounts. After that you should not have any automatic restrictions that older accounts don’t have without proper disclosure of said restrictions. Its the fact blizzard isnt saying new players cant enjoy more then half of the professions (enchantments, smithing gear, etc), cant get out of profession consumables (potions, sharpening stones, etc). You cant even get loot to drop from bosses. The restriction is blatantly penalizing new players for simply being new, and a it is indeed blocking content and features other have access too that pay the same amount as you. Its like selling the same cake to 2 people but one has frosting. Kinda shady and bogus tbh

That is messed up. 30 days in-game time since 2017 is ridiculous. I have over 1000+hours previous to that.

I think 30 days played time at 2 hours free a day its criminal in general. lmao

Edit, just did the math. It would take almost exactly a year with a set schedule of that 2 hours. no days missed

Edit- 180$ to use the ah if paid monthly

my friend just give me code 60 days game time to try this game and the i must play 30 days to unlocked all feature??? how come company like blizzard didnt announce something big like this.
