Order will be somewhat random but I’ll try to keep these things grouped somewhat:
-The SoD development team genuinely doesn’t seem big enough to handle bug fixes/issues in the current phase while making content for the future phases. Balance wise all we’ve primarily had is numbers tuning, primarily for hunters. The usual underperforming specs did receive some buffs (shadow, boomy) but they are still below mid. Frost mage does less dam than a tank. A lot of rune interactions with talents or spells are broken/missing. Ashenvale is still very buggy and seems too complicated to fix before we just move on to p2. Some iconic runes are completely useless (lifebloom as an example) when the data is obviously there that nobody is using it. This is not a jab at the devs, it just seems like the SoD team should get more resources considering how well SoD is doing.
-Any plans to address GDKPs? Really would like to stop the GDKP whiner threads and the people making false reports. Just looking for acknowledgement really as the community is fiercely against each other over this topic and one side seriously believes that every GDKP involves RMT.
-What is the plan with the classic era world buffs? We’re starting to see a huge power creep already and assuming they add more, there are simply too many world buffs to realistically manage. Also, the reason melee scale so well in era is due to the later world buffs benefitting melee way too much. It seems that a good compromise is to disable era world buffs but continue to develop and add new ones that benefit everyone like the BFD one.
-Whatever layering system is present in SoD is really bad. Often times players don’t join your layer when you join a group with them, this makes questing and providing profession services frustrating. Ashenvale still has problems where you can be with your raid in a winning layer and then somehow get phased to a losing one for seemingly no reason. Any plans to fix this?
-Separate queues aren’t a solution to Premades vs. Pugs in BGs, but please look at updating the queue system so that it will try to match premades into other premades first. If this isn’t possible in a reasonable time, then allow the premade to match with a pug. This will still reward those who do premades with occasional premades vs. pugs, but not make a solo queuer have a sub 10% win rate, which is absurdly low compared to all other versions of the game.
-BFD loot tables don’t seem well thought out. Guild Groups have been clearing 7/7 since week 1 and many haven’t seen certain items at all (the epic staff is one big example). The loot tables are too large and have a lot of useless loot. Tier not being a token shared with a set of classes leads to a lot of frustration and wasted loot, along with tier being a shared drop for some bosses. If loot tables are going to be this big going forward, bosses should be dropping 3 items each. Loot shouldn’t be frustrating in a seasonal game mode meant to be fun.
-SoD was about making everyone OP, not just warriors, but warriors continue to infinitely scale and at this rate will still be #1 (especially with the era world buffs, which is why these should probably be disabled or nerfed). 90 of the top 100 on Warcraft logs are warriors. Is this on your radar? Just feels like era again where I should’ve just picked a rogue, warrior, or healing priest,
