They/them pronouns

TBH that’s my default if I can’t use “hey tank, or that orc shammy” over there.

Still not going to use them.

Then they’re not allies, it’s that simple? If simply using the correct pronouns for someone is too much for someone to do out of respect (again like calling someone by their name, why wouldn’t you do that?) Then they were too unreasonable in the first place.

Not an ally, if you only support it when it’s convenient to you, not an ally. Ciao.

Yes, it has. History and books show it has. Ciao.

I think we should also add it/that as an option. I just prefer it over they/them.

It’d be cool, hope it gets added into the game

Also, everyone saying that this is political, the way someone identifies themselves isn’t political or agenda, trying to make it political is just a tool to justify being against it.
Let people have nice things, if you don’t care, it won’t affect your experience, if you do care, it will let yourself be more comfortable in the game.

For real, it won’t be long til they start adding “the ignored” to their long list of self-awarded titles or descriptors or whatever words they use for it.

It’s weird some of the responses on this thread. It’s like some are against more customization options that have no effect on their gameplay but they insist those who want it are wrong and will ruin the game. It’s rather strange and disingenuous.

Making a second post to solidify this

If this gets added to the game, it won’t affect your experience at all, chill.

There aren’t any reasons to be against it, stop trying to make someone’s identity political.

In the World of Warcraft, much like the real world, there are more pressing issues that require attention than what you want people to call you.

It’s like sitting at the kitchen table in a burning house and crying because someone brought you a spoon instead of a fork.

You see that’s actually proper use of the terms they/them, not someone forcing you to call them by x pronouns just to feel special or unique.

Typical woke person, not seeing the issue for what it is vs. what they want it to be.

Keep your social agenda out of our game. Simple as that, mister.

Do you agree that having pronoun in-game wouldn’t change your experience but would add an extra layer for those who wish to use them? What’s wrong with that?

I cannot guarantee that implementing such an option would distract developers from focusing on game aspects that actually affect my experience.

It would change my experience, actually. Because people like you would be around every corner just waiting to pounce on people for “not using proper pronouns”.

Mighty fine bait, mighty fine, no reason to stop when people continue to fall for it lol.

Champion strikes me as annoying. I demand a more fitting title for someone of my stature. something like…

It’d be easy to implement, probably won’t take more than a day to do, and won’t affect people’s experience if you just opt out of the feature.

However it’d anger the fragile white gamers that are a big part of the game’s fanbase (look at this thread to see some peeps offended at literally nothing)

so I’m not too hopeful blizz would take the leap and add it :frowning:

No we wouldn’t. Only if we ask you to refer to us by our pronouns and you deliberately don’t, especially if it’s to mock. Is it really that difficult to be respectful? But I guess that’s what the ignore feature is for.

I want NPC’s like Jaina and Wrathion from here on to refer to me as “noob”

you still haven’t told us how we should be punished for not following your rules.
