I do think LFD makes more sense for leveling dungeons than max level dungeons. Especially in old content leveling dungeons (so vanilla/TBC in Wrath classic). The playerbase is just SO top heavy.
I didn’t say it was the path of least resistance. I said it was often the only option. It would still be the path of least resistance if the RDF was added but people would choose to actually do the dungeons if that was a viable option
This. I want to play the content. Not just walk behind a high level mage destroying everything in 30 seconds. That is boring. What is also boring is sitting around a city for hours trying to find a group to run a dungeon.
It’s interesting how many people want to do leveling dungeons yet it’s impossible to get groups to actually do them.
I wonder how many people actually want to do them? I guess it’s probably because many people don’t even play this game for fun and it’s about efficiency. Can’t do a dungeon because they’ll lose xp/hour.
I guess we will see if Blizz changes their mind prior to release.
Same faction BGs were a fundamental change to the game. All we’re asking for is WotLK game features in WotLK. ALL of them, not just some of them. Imagine if Blizz announced there would be no playable DKs in WotLK. That would be ridiculous, and people would be rightly upset. Removing LFD is the same thing.
When I’m on my hunter I have to do nothing and stare at the lfg channel. If I look away for a few seconds that might be the few seconds a lf dps for x pops up and I’ll miss it. Even staring st the lfg channel and typing “I’ll dps” is often too late. Just getting in a queue and being able to farm or quest while I’m waiting is a vast improvement. Often I won’t even try to get a group because I don’t feel like doing nothing for the 30 minutes or the hour it takes to get it together. When it often takes longer to find a group than it takes to run the dungeon many people just give up and get boosts to the end game
Rabble rabble it will last longer lol. nah…week 1 wrath is first to 80. first to heroic afte. first to raid. then…wait for next staggered raid drop.
Even ZA all new is raid logged. If I even chip away in classic tonight I will see ZA ads for days in channel 4.
And by sunday…it will fall off. ZA runners like to get this all done in the week right after reset it seems.
sort of like retail lfr. You want this before friday. Saturday rolls around the raid pro’s ahve even banged out their most likely fails of tier chances in lfr out of desperation. and now…there ain’t no quality control. IN lfg or lfr. Same reason I do my pvp weeklies before the weekend. Weekends tend to be utter crap shows.
Seriously. Blizzard now has the technology to allow us to add people from other servers to our friends lists and make the choice to group with them to do dungeons - thus expanding what our definition of “community” was but instead they just take things away from us. This makes no sense.
No you can’t. Yesterday I tried on a dps to get the H daily. Even staring at the lfg channel and typing as fast as possible 4 times I got a message back, “sorry, full.” If I tried to find a group while doing other things I’d never be fast enough to get a group. I wasted an hour of time staring at the lfg channel and still didn’t get a group
