They need to remove pvp from this game

Real PvP went out with the removal of PvP realms, the addition of Warmode, and the conclusion of BfA. If anyone is still doing PvP in this game, it is within the safe comforts and confines of BGs and Arenas. But apparently, that minority seems to enjoy it.

Nope. I’d say the large majority of PvPers did not give a single F to rated until Blitz.

It’s as niche as high M+.

Which is about as popular as non-LFR raiding, perhaps even more popular lol.

People chase M+ because it gives you a mount, same with PvP.

Raiding in and of itself has no rewards unless you do it on Mythic, which is out of reach for 99.9%, or Glory of the Raider achievements which is only really guild groups.

Pretty much all endgame in WoW is niche in some degree, they all are.

Arena is, raiding is, M+ is, RBGs/Blitz are.

Something you’re doing, others aren’t, and vice-versa.

The only things that aren’t are probably world quests, and delves because they’re new for the moment. And ofc leveling but that’s not endgame.

No casual is interested in breaking into some activity that’s only been hardcores for years, because of how they’ll be treated in said content. It’s player-repellent.

Pvp is a part of the game.

It is, indeed.

Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to ask for its removal.

No addons - no macros - no assistance at all.

Then again I just do random bgs and random epics.

If We can be leader of a guild, why not a realm?

What if you could pay extra to run your own realm and pick your own rules? Perhaps the more players you attract to your realm the less you have to pay.

Possible options I might like on my realm:
50% gravity
nothing soulbound (and I mean nothing, quest items and things you are wearing can be sold, mounts/toys too)
X3 gold drops
Brutal PVP (all npcs can be killed, no safe cities)
More Brutal PVP - (dead toons stay dead for 24 hours)
Mortal Kombat PVP (Fataliity animations on corpses, just named something else)
No Addons
One toon per realm
One profession per toon
All toons can “superman” fly at level 1

There’s just so much cool stuff they could add to player run realms.

Tricks the realm owner and content creator of their pvp guild. Specializing in brutal blitz pvp matches with amazing shot callers locking down aggressors before they have a chance to get setup on the realm.

Dare to fight them on their own turf and take on their massive guild fort.

I think better implementation would be a better suggestion…Maybe make a separate realm/server that is still attached to that account, and any pvp gear acquired on that realm is connected to your classes.

Get 1800 in Rated BGS and can get the replica cosmetics on that server? congrats its now usable on the main realms class too. 2400 in 3’s? congrats on the same.

This at least gives blizz an area to Focus on outside of the normal game, and allows better balancing and design.

You get blues to start, and then as you rank up and earn currency, you get into purples, or just start with purples and get rank, idk but at least it will be separate from the main game. So they can focus tuning for PvE and PvP without nuking classes all together.

Just a thought…

EDIT: OOOOO!! i just thought of something…

They could even use Ashran as a hub for this. it’s already in the game so they dont need to create more files, just copy and paste (easier said than done) and you have the vendors where you can test gear and trinkets for min-maxing, you can find others for BG’s or w/e you want, and can even mess around in the middle for some pvp while you wait for ques or something. could be fun!

non sense… basically if nobody have this, new players can be competitive. Nowdays its almost impossible to be competitive if u are a new player (I know that because a friend of mine started playing recently and if with me teaching him, its really hard to get the things, imagine a new player that will learn everything by itself). If nobody have macros and addons, arenas would be competitive. While now only is competitive for those who have it.

This was a bit of a troll thread but it ended up having interesting feedback in it. I personally don’t think pvp really needs to be removed at all. In fact, imo pvp is vastly superior to pve when done really well in various games.

Which is real PvP.

And a lot of people engage in that PvP, especially since it’s far more rewarding than ganking someone in the open world, who more than likely wasn’t geared to fight you (or your buddies if you roamed around in a gank squad). Because 90% of the time that’s what PvP in the open world looked like.

It was you, the ganker, running around murdering players who couldn’t fight back effectively or you running into towns and killing the quest givers and hoping that eventually you’d trigger someone to get on their well geared main (if they had one) to give you a challenge.

As a Rival soloist 1845 mmr atm (don’t laugh, as an actual cute hot girl irl, this is pretty good), I can’t tell if you’re trolling or serious lol I mean… get rid of pvp and you will be destroying a lot of the game. Pvp is super popular, but I think they made delves for ppl like you (I’m not hating on delves, they’re awesome in their own way). Why can’t you do that instead of complaining about pvpers? You either like doing the content for what it is, or you don’t. Just because you don’t like something, doesn’t mean you gotta change it for ppl that actually do enjoy it. I think you’re just being a prima donna griefer that’s reflecting how bad you are in pvp towards a particular community and that’s not fair, is it?

those are opposites. PVP content hasn’t required any resources for a long time. Just cutting and pasting modes and changing the ruleset slightly. M+ has more resources spent via the old dungeons slightly changing than PVP does.

The balance is off the rails but this is due to not fully balancing the game around PVP, whatever happens to any given spec in PVE is what that spec’s position is in PVP, and it’s been a very similar meta for years now.

Looking at tank disparity alone in both PVE and PVP is enough data to tell you they’re not really honing things for sake of PVP, nevermind the state of healers now.

simple check: blood DK or veng DH and 3 mistweaver monks versus prot paladin and 3 holy paladins as your tank/healer battery in battleground blitz is a very unbalanced core, just to big cds alone. versus what any given healer can do in 3v3 arenas or solo shuffles. PVP isn’t even balanced across all of it’s own modes.

Did pvp on my enhance shaman after several years of not pvping… my god even when I had a full 628 set my damage is like wet papper compared to other classes.

It seems they are doing better pve wise but pvp wise it’s like the same specs are on pvp…

Healers are a bit in a “too good to be true” spot some of them right now… not sure if that’s because the gear in general is a bit low even at having a full set of 628 but yeah having 3-5 people sitting on you and your have several shields on you and your hp isnt going down over 10-20 seconds feels like an eternity in pvp…

They have a loooooooong way to go for pvp… I will try to gear up other specs but so far I don’t think I might even want to get into rated if the experience is this mediocre in general. It’s like “roll X spec or you’re a joke” kind of thing.
