Man you people already asking them to nerf this epic event. You people are why nothing fun ever gets added to this game. So much cringe.
They don’t need to nerf it. They just need to not force unwilling participants to engage with it.
One can only hope >_>
I do see your issue, like I said I was trying to mind my own business when a zombie came at me and even though I didn’t fight back I still got infected. I’m personally okay with it but I can see how a more goal oriented player would have a problem with it. I’m actually planning to hide out somewhere for most of it, be a prepper and all that. XD
That is effectively nerfing it. Less people to nom on. Less zombies to roam around. And Less RP elements because do you really think a zombie cares if you consent?
Well, yeah but do we want it the way it use to be or modified ?
It’s almost as though if zombies weren’t at the very least annoying they wouldn’t have a proverbial leg to stand on. And they need all the stability they can get.
I’m all for the event, so long as there are either ways to opt out completely, or its on a flow where people can actually get stuff done between waves.
Then being unable to attack your own faction members is ‘nerfing’ PvP as well, or having Guards interfere if you’re attacked by opposing faction members.
War Mode is proper consent and people that activate it are and should be fair game. This throws that right out the window and that is a problem.
I don’t even like PVP and I’ve been always been bad at it so I don’t like any forced pvp. But…this is fun. I died once on the PTR and I’m managing to get my stuff done. Its a lot of fun and I hope it doesn’t get turned off or dialed down too much. I hope we have some chaos for a while. It will be fun and memorable.
Zombies don’t ask for consent, this is a Zombie invasion. What type of Zombie apocolypse would it be if they had to have consent.
Walking Dead
Zombie: Hey Rick is it okay if I bite you?
give me a break that isn’t how Zombie apocolypse scenarios work and you know it.
As I said previously, I would sit there, in Thunder Bluff, not a soul around except for me (remember, this was before CRZ made the cities look more populated than they really are) and watch the sequence repeat itself:
- Guards walk past infected crates and get infected.
- A couple minutes later, they turn into ghouls and attack other guards.
- Other guards get infected by the attacks and turn into ghouls after killing the first guards.
There was no player-driven impetus needed, the whole thing was auto-pilot.
Anybody who was paying attention and observing saw how human participation was irrelevant. That’s why so many found the whole thing to be irritating, instead of meaningful or fun.
It’s a week long event though, 2 tops. Maybe I’m biased because I’ve had about 2-3 hours of actual content I want per week. This will make logging back in interesting again at least, but like I said I’m really not trying to do anything at this point but get tier 8 shoulders from ulduar (four tries, four naughts).
What io do you need for this event?
In PvE realms back in the day, Horde and Alliance had to wait until they were attacked in hostile areas, a place where it would make the MOST SENSE for the enemy faction to ambush low-level characters.
Same amount of sense, yet that’s restricted.
Try being at ground zero when there are almost 30+ ghouls in the area and they hit like a mac truck.
The ghouls need to be toned down, along with their numbers. Because when even durable specs get murdered …
some of this could of course also be that they havent finished numbers tuning and the ghouls are TOO strong.
But … its certainly leaving a bad impression on many. Especialyl because Blizzard said “we’ll never do an event like that again.” and here they did it. Not much consistency there.
Between wave sounds ok ,that way people that have business have time. Imagine a raider coming out of a raid when it happens and need to repair and unload.
All I see is ghouls. Not any actual event. Just spawning mobs everywhere isn’t an event.
Don’t know what to tell you, just as PvP realms don’t exist neither do PvE. Welcome to the World of Warcraft. Pick up a pitchfork and a torch and start fighting the zombie horde, or become apart of it. Because ready or not, here we come.
It’s that mentality that necessitates War Mode, and is also why, again, Rallos Zek rules are terrible for PvE games.
