They had the Balls, and Actually did it!

I get how some people feel that way, just try to remember it is something a lot of us asked for for a long time. It’s not a complete Rehash though the PvE part is all new. I have to say Northrend is looking Spiffy with that new skybox.

Hopefully it is phased otherwise ill be taking the prepatch off or just level in classic. No necromancers like last time how are they even getting to these cities with no transportation.

As long as their is a cd period between the patch dropping and the event starting that way people can get a feel for the changes, go to the barber, etc.

On PTR the first thing to go was transmog and barber shop. They only lasted about 5 minutes lol.

I think it’ll be alright given the pandemic it’ll be something to remember in time. 10 years from now when we look back everyone would say “Yeah, I remember that” and not forget it.

What I find fascinating about a lot of the pro-event posts and how amazing the original was seem to forget how unpopular it was at the time. Blizzard ended it early and promised never to do it again.

It was equally popular as it was unpopular. They didn’t really end it early didn’t they make a statement that was always their plan.

They ended it early from what I remember because these boards went up in flames - it was like trying to remove flying in Draenor.

I do remember they definitely said they would never do another event like it again though.

They just have modify it a little for the time and have it spread out in time so those that don’t want it wouldn’t be burden by it.

Yeah forums was flaming, but pretty sure they made a statement like.

Something about knowing some players don’t enjoy this type of tension but a chaotic environment is also what makes the world exciting. However they rather such experiences to be short as to not be too disruptive or something along those lines

Memory isn’t what it used to be but I remember something like that being said on an official statement. Then again something simular was said during legion. But this time instead of talking about time keeping it from being too disruptive it was about keeping it confined.

I don’t recall them saying they wouldn’t do it again. I think what they said was It’s not something they would do again “Lightly” so they would take more consideration into it if they decided to do it again.

It may have been the spreading they were referring to. If the spreading were less it wouldn’t be that bad,a controlled containment .
